Shoot, Newegg is cheap. Really cheap. o.O
Once I get together the cash, I think I'ma go through Newegg.

Yeah, that's certainly cheaper than buying the per-month thing.

That's buying through the Microsoft store or whatever. Through Newegg, it's closer to $3/month when averaged out.

There's a deal that keeps popping up for me that's 1 month for 1 dollar. I keep missing it though.

It shaves exactly a dollar a month off. So $3.17 a month

Let me know if you see this deal again... so long as its legit. My Live will run out before too long (I could only afford a three month card when I bought it).

Well ain't that nifty? Thanks for doing the math. I'd still prefer not having to pay to play something I've already paid for, but at least the cost is low enough that I'll survive.
Regarding Halo... I got sick on the way to school again today (yay motion sickness, packed buses, and stop and go traffic!), so I'll probably be home and more or less available all day. If/when I play, I'll post here and keep my eyes peeled for any of you online.

Double post, but I justify it since I want it clear that there's a new post.
My brother and I are about to tackle Legendary. I'm inviting Phe, but he's in the middle of a match. If any of yas see this and want in, now's a great tie to do it.

Sorry, Kenny. Have fun with your brother. I couldn't play, I have some school I need to finish up. Being responsible and all that.

Who needs responsibility?
Gabe (my brother), Wolfgang, and I ran through... uhm... the first two missions on Legendary. Good times. You should have been there.

I still can't though, no Halo 3.
What I really hope is that Reach has something firefightish.
Just like in ODST you have 5 or 6 separate characters. So, it most likely will be in the game. Gonna rock.

Speaking of ODST, my brother is convinced that he wants it (especially due to the upcoming Reach beta). Now I just have to convince him to throw in some money for it... then I'll order it up. Gonna be good times.
Speaking of the Reach beta... do you need some kind of special access code or anything for that... or will it just be a matter of accessing it through a normal menu? I wanna buy the game used (since it's like... $30/shipped on Half.com), but it'd suck if buying used meant no access to the beta.

No, there's an "Intel" section on the bottom of the main menu that you can open, and it has the newest stuff on Reach. I'm 90% that's where the DL for the Beta is gonna be.

I like the Halo series. And I really like ODST. Wish I owned them all.
But as long as I have Metroid...which is far more original, older, and BETTER, I'm more than happy.
*ducks under table with Metroid stuff.*

This.
I love Metroid, and I love Halo.
They shouldn't be compared as the only thing that makes them similar is that Prime came out around the same time as Halo. Beyond that... no comparison can really be made (and remain useful).
Also, gonna order ODST after dinner.

Heck. Yes.
