Legs outer armor built. Tonight I'll probably work on some of the embellishments and maybe start designing the internal skeleton.

For the most part I've been taking design cues from other guys who have done this, but in a few cases I've also gone off on my own. This is really a great challenge.

Epic. XD They look so "real". Like what the models look like.

Yeah! That's really feeding my enthusiasm as it starts to take that recognizable shape.

Last night I built the groin/hip piece. Am trying to think of a way to modify it so that if nature calls while I'm in the armor, I could take care of business without having to remove the suit. For now, I'm sticking with the template until I figure out a better way.

And the rear view (and a wifely photobomb):

I need to start working on the internal structure of the legs and hips so I can actually try it on and see if I need any adjustments. I sort of put on the pieces last night as a test but nothing is in exactly the right place. The shin pieces are too far down since they're not supported yet by anything but the floor.

I know that pic makes the hip piece look tight but it isn't. I was deliberately pushing out my gut to hold it up so my hands would be free to hold the thigh parts.

Now I feel like I better replace the pic though :(

That's not what I meant....I was saying if you fasted you wouldn't have to go to the bathroom. No bran muffins or a lot of water before you show it off kind of thing...

Sorry about the misunderstanding!

Oooooooohhhhhhhh yeah you're absolutely right about that. I figure engineering the suit to be able to use the bathroom is easy as long as I can take care of business standing up. Sitting down... not an option without removing it completely.

But I am still thinking of replacing the pic... That one does look pretty awful

Haha the problem there is with 14" of lift from the stilts, I'd be sitting on the can with my knees up in my face.

"People always ask me, 'how do you go to the bathroom in the suit?'"

*pause*

"Like that."
