((Ahh, gotcha. The D&D 3.5e rules for finishing off downed individuals, the Coup de Grace, is that you automatically hit and crit. We'll just double the damage you roll and for some weapons, triple. There are extra mechanics, but I'll deal with that.

It will trigger something called an Attack of Opportunity, and you don't have to worry about the rules about that, just that if you do a Coup de Grace when you are next to a baddy, they get a free shot at you.

And no, this is not a zombie-ignorant world like Walking Dead or so many. You are aware of what zombies are. Whether these ones match your preconceptions or not is another story.))

Stephen briskly walks to the injured bystanders, rubble in hand. The old woman fell first, killing her now is nothing but an act of mercy.

((So I'm just running a damage roll, correct?))

Roll for damage:

[dice]0[/dice]

EDIT ((I have no idea why that keeps happening.))

Proclaiming thanks to Chris, Conner twists his shoulders and tries to squeeze out of the rubble.

As Chris and Luke help Conner out and get him standing with luckily no injuries, the crowd's shock turns to horror as they see Stephen smash either a dead or unconscious woman's head in. Screams and shouts arise.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?" Some college kid in a Party Hard T-shirt yells.
"YOU ARE JUST AS BAD AS THAT PSYCHO!" A mother shrieks out, as shields her daughter from the carnage.
"SHE NEEDED HELP! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?" Yells a middle aged man, sporting a very fashionable hawaiian shirt.
Four other men and women add in to the noise, but you could only pick out those three.

One man steps forward, well built and wearing a dust covered suit.
"You're going to put that down, *******." An accusing finger points at you. "Step away."

Stephen rolls his eyes. "Go back to your desk, pretty boy," he growls moving his rock to his left, freeing his shooting hand. "Your world has just fallen apart." He waves at the creatures in the crashed airplane. "Unless you want to end up like them, you're going to turn around, and get the frack out of my face."

He lets himself smirk. "Unless you want to to die now instead of starving to death. Happy to assist your suicide."

((Yes, I'm having a psychotic break. This is about to get real fun.))

Conner stands to his feet and dusts himself off, "Thanks guys", he says to Chris and Luke, "I would've been the ham in a concrete sandwich if it wasn't for you". He reaches down and grabs the backpack he'd divested in order to aid his escape, and then notices the shouting crowds around Stephen. He had seen, as he was struggling with the concrete with Luke and Chris, what he had done, and knew he needed help.

He just wasn't sure what type. Or who to help.

He'd seen the man who should've been dead biting at people, and also noticed that the recently bitten seemed to go a bit crazy. More than a bit, he thought, as he surveyed the scene.

"Guys...what happened?"

"Other than a plane crash, and dead people acting like zombies... I don't know." said Jack as he finally made it to Conner and the others. Jack was relieved to see Conner alright, though he noticed a lot of commotion over by Stephen. Jack didn't see what happened, but after a quick look and some listening, Jack started to put the two and two together. "This can't be good..." Jack said before pausing as he then looked at the fallen airplane and the movement within. "And this really can't be good."

"Am I the only one who thinks making like a shepherd and getting the flock out of here is a good idea?"

Stephen's words did not placate the crowd. It infuriated them. They pressed in closer, covering the hallway to the right. On the left, the plane shattered the window to the landing strips, but the drop would not be something someone walked away from. You guys are now cornered in.

The man in the suit is taking off his jacket, shoulders tensing and flexing. If he looked well built before, his physique is really shining through now.
"You're just as mad as the eaters." He steps closer, the crowd following, but never passing him. A moment of realization washes over his face. He holds his arm out to keep people from rushing forward, something no one seems too eager to do. "Careful... he might have gone crazy like the others."
He reached down into some of the rubble for a piece of rock but found himself a broken off section of rebar instead.
"You guys" He calls out to Chris, Jack, Conner and Luke. "Back away from him."

He's about 15 feet away from you, and the rest of the crow is making a sort of semi-circle around you at around 20 feet away.

Stephen takes a breath, feeling his pulse slow as he lets the adrenaline give way to focus. The crowd will fall back when they start bleeding. Once the instigator is down, the rest will follow. Pelvis is the best shot, disable quickly, remove his ability to close the gap, kill later if needed. 9mm FMJ will still overpenetrate, kneecap a few of the crowd

He smiles at the man broadly eyeing the rebar. "Nice, care to trade?" He tosses his rubble at the man's feet as a diversion while he draws.

The bang of the gunfire echoed sharply in what's left of the airport, followed by the crescendo of moans, growls, and slamming hands from inside the battered aircraft. Stephen was fast on the draw and had his pistol out and fired before anybody could react. A blood stain began to pool and spread on the right side of the man with the rebar, just below the ribcage and above the pelvis. This wasn't a man to fall in shock; fueled by adrenaline, he sprinted forward, swinging the rebar with both hands down on Stephen. Stephen leaned back out of the way, but the man's aim was just a little too true. The jagged end of the rebar caught him in the face and tore through both flesh and bits of bone. And the man had one heck of a swing.

You take 9 hitpoints of damage.

3 other men from the group advance on your position, but are not quite yet attacking. The other four of the crowd turned tale and ran at the sound of gunfire. The three who moved forward, unfortunately, weren't so considerate to the rest of your party as the now injured man seemed to be, and the cast aggressive glances at Luke, Jack, Chris, and Conner. Guilt by association in times of duress.

((Oh, are Conner, Chris, Luke, and I in the semi circle? Well, in either case...))

Jack was quite surprised to see what was happening, he tried to figure out how to stop it the fight,
as this isn't the time for one, nor did Jack like it. Jack tried to think of something to say, but words seemed to fail him. He looked at the zombies within the airplane, and the people that had fallen to the late one armed man. Jack never thought he would think this, but he hoped that either the fallen would turn, or that the zombies in the plane would break out. As the folks fighting would find the undead a much bigger threat. "What did Gandalf say right before that big war at the end of the Hobbit when the orc army was coming?" Jack said to himself. "Ah, blast."
Jack got ready to say something regardless, there was also a chance that a bigger threat wasn't necessary...

((Still trying to find out if I am in the circle or not. XD))
