At times, I'm grateful to wake up. Usually when caught in a recurring cycle of reintering the same nightmarish world after falling asleep again.
I enjoy them. Get's your hands dirty, helps your car out, and is pretty simple repair jaerb. Even on my Merc.

Probably, you're busy enough to not have time for an oil change. There's also the chance that your shop is cheaper than five--eight quarts of oil and a filter would cost you out of pocket.

I find that one hard to believe.
Rarely. I tend to pick up a game controller when I'm bored. Figure it's better to do something than nothing.
Hmm...haven't really been bored for awhile. Minor inattentiveness or depression, but not bored.
Not that I'm complaining.
