Seeing as you're more into the classic stuff, what's your favorite piece of fiction literature?

I still hated it though.

I'm gonna just give you a top five. Too hard to decide.

The Call of Cthulhu - HP Lovecraft

Redefined science fiction for me.

Ligeia - Edgar Allen Poe

My first exposure to Gothic fiction.

The Man Who Was Thursday - GK Chesterton

Pure comedic gold. I've yet to read anything more insane.

Call of the Wild - Jack London

Always been an outdoorsman, so this is kind of a given.

King Solomon's Mines - H. Rider Haggard

Simply a great adventure novel. Surprisingly, I didn't see the end coming.

So, yeah. I chose based on enjoyment, rather than technical skill this time. Also didn't put anything I haven't finished on the list, nor certain immensely influential works I still need to acquire.

It's a good book. XD

Why is it so hot? -_-

That aside (because I know the answer, and I'm just whining) how familiar are you with law and justice and life in the settler period of the old west?

If you aren't in FL, you have no right to complain about heat.

I'm not too familiar with it. So far as I recall, it's been highly romanticized over the years, and wasn't anything special.

Hmm...I'd perhaps argue that. We hit 91 and humid last week. It'll easily go into triple digits when it hits May.

I came across a few accounts in my Great-great-great grandfathers account that sound like they came straight out of Open Range, or another Western. XD When I finish typing it up, you can read it if you like.

Because of you, I'll never write another love song?

It's already hit 95 here. And you don't know humid if you aren't in FL.

That'd be cool, definitely interested.

Glad I did the world a favor then.

Still not sure about that. MS is known for it's humidity, but FL residents complain more since they're all over 80. >_>

Melonade?

Slice up a couple peppers and leave them in the drink overnight. Or you could crush them I suppose.
