It's a really cool field. If the professor's are good, take a course on it. Yes yes, this is "Stuff that you can find on the internet". But it's usually way better when someone explains it for you. For example, I found several white papers on RSA decryption algorithms. But it wasn't until my math teacher explained it and it's potential applications that I really appreciated it. And besides, the network security class wasn't all lecture. It was like "Here's some information on how one might DDoS a site. Now let's try it on these lab computers!"

Read, or work on personal projects. Just gotta do something not school or work related, really.

I'm a huge fan of Dune, as well as most of the Star Wars Expanded universe stuff. Tokien is always a classic, and I do love me some Poe. I'm also a really big Lovecraft fan.

My funnest class so far is IT foundations (computer repair). It's probably the reason I wake up on Mondays, actually. It's take apart/put back together of all manner of PC's.
