Depends on the compiler, actually. I use MinGW myself, and it's pretty easy to install.

I think, if I read things aright, I have straight up GCC. Or GPP; I know something was preinstalled on mah compeh.

Might be the fact that I'm in a career-tech program, but registration took about 20 minutes. A very kind counselor lady did it all. XD Only thing I did was ask for a classical guitar course.
