They're alright. Too small to be much besides annoyances.

They make pretty good pets too, I would think. Then again, I like small furry critters.
Gigantic six-eyed tomb rats?

Would be way more epic than Skeevers for Elder Scrolls beginning dungeons.

What does Texas tea taste like?
What do you know about 'tinkering' with PSP's?
In a completely legal fashion, of course.

It's good stuff.
And yes, depending on the type of tinkering. I've done software tinkering and the tiniest bit of hardware tinkering (Which incidentally was to assist in the software tinkering).
Why do you ask?

Because I'm getting tired of having to hook up 4 different consoles to play my favorite games. XD I had considered using an emulator, but I'm actually not sure of the legality now. I was when I made the plan, but researching it...pleh. That was a waste of several hours.
Know anything else fun to do with a slightly hacked PSP?

Write code for it, rip UMD's and play them from the memory stick, fiddle around with the various features of the PSP model you have...
There's quite a lot.
Also, Emulators themselves are usually perfectly legal. It's the issue of playing/acquiring games on them that causes concern. XD
I say usually because there are a few exceptions like the PlayStation emulators. Those require actual firmware, which is technically illegal to get unless you dump it from your console.

Deep, this is the time in the story when you're supposed to set me on your knee and give a solid wisdom talk that totally allows me to load all my classic cartridge games onto my PSP without any guilt. YOU'RE NOT DOING THAT.
The funny thing is, I might could've actually slid by on PS1 games since I could actually copy it from my discs.

And then the emu is illegal.
Your thoughts on the whole issue of copying ROMs (for personal use, as opposed to distribution)?

Funny story about that one too: The PSP has the firmware to run PS1 games. So technically you don't run into that issue. XD
I have no problem with it. Fair use and all that.
All this said, I think it's a marginal issue at best. The publishers probably don't care as much about a SNES game as they would about a 360 game. As long as you don't flaunt the fact all over their faces, you're fine.

...Now I'm just confused. :\ Does that mean it's theoretically legal to rip PS1 games onto a Mem stick? O_o
Theoretically, mind you. Unless I can be shown it's actually legal, I'ma not participate in any sort of downloading or ripping. I say that for sake of conscience (
and legal protection).
Game companies can be annoying?

Theoretically, yes.
Honestly, you should probably make up your own mind about it, because there's no law explicitly Prohibiting it, nor many court cases disallowing it. I've decided that at the very least, I can give a good fair use claim and show that there is a stunning lack of evidence either way. If someone decides to sue me, I'd have a pretty strong case.

Eh...now I'm confused and dissatisfied. I made my mind up not to do it (and believe me...portable Super Metroid has been a dream since I was a kid) because I was under the impression, from multiple interwebs sources, that it was illegal to download even the games you own. And since I can't think of a good reason to break it, I think biblically I'm held to follow the law (gooberish as it is). And, also for the record, I'm not trying to get you to talk me into it. That was a joke, and I'd not seriously do that. XD
Did you ever give Cave Story a try?
