You sir, have just described Epica about as perfectly as any fan could have. I muchly approve.

Here's another one for you to ponder. I highly recommend looking at their studio albums. Some of them have questionably strange themes, but some of them make interesting commentary. Their latest album is based around the whole "observer effect" with Quantum mechanics. Some of it is a bit of a stretch...but it's good music nonetheless. :P

I mean, the album that this song is off of is about the disappearance of the Mayan empire. Go figure...

Without actually playing factions, I'm leaning toward Cygnar. The Elvish faction (which name escapes me at the moment) held my interest too, but I liked the technological superiority of Cygnar (from my readings, anyway).
My son plays Cygnar. He likes the shooty armies. My wife plays Retribution of Scyrah (Elves) and likes them but she isn't too crazy about the look of the warjacks. She feels they look too anime-ish.

Are you generally into steampunk?

Quantum mechanics. Ew. That also is a questionable theme. XD

But amazing music. Srsly amazing. O_o I find it sweet that they can theme off of things like that, odd though it may be...Not everyone could do that. I don't think I could, at any rate. Not and have something that boss.

I forget what it was that made me backup on the Retribution. It's possible I just wanted to give a human army a shot first, since it seemed like the Elves took more tactics or something?

And...Sommat? I like it quite a bit, but rarely read books or watch movies in the genre. I have trouble finding any that don't mess with my head.

Games though? Yes. Interest is doubled if it's steampunkish. :D

Then you chose wisely between that and Warhammer.

Seen the new Sherlock Holmes?

+1 for Warhammer, even though I prefer 40k. :P

/threadjack.

So...here's a song about Quantum Physics by Epica. Feel free to dislike the theme...but give it a listen, it's got some epic sections in it. This song inspired me to get back into music production. XD

There was also the 'less expensive' bonus. XD

I have not. Loved the first...probably see it on DVD.

No hate for Warhammer...just seemed easier and a bit cheaper to try out Warmachine first. Make sure I enjoy tabletop stuff. :D

That was pretty amazing...I loved the part starting at about 5 minutes, and the stuff at ten minutes creeped me out a bit. XD

I prefer heavier strings since I tend to strum hard, and I like the tone. But they hurt my hand for whatever reason, so I dropped down to 10's.

Easier to bend anyway. <3

I use a custom set of 11's. Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky's. They rock.

Which tunings do you favor most?

I love Beefy Slinks. <3

Typically, standard. I'm boring that way. If I'ma drop, then I'm just dropping it to D since it biffing annoys my pancreas to have to retune every string. >_>

Sometimes I play half step dropped too.

Yeah, I used to be that way. Then I took an arrow to the... er, discovered the joys of D standard's applications for metal playing. :P

Plus, Drop C is what a fair amount of metal bands use.

I shot a dude in the knee on Turok. And I was like "You shot me in the face...then you took an arrow to the knee". XD

You know, I didna think I was going to like that, but I rather did.

Not a huge fan of NiN...Reznor annoys the pants off of me and I can never separate his music from him.

Those weren't too bad as far as things go, but...yeah. XD

I must know. Why this opinion?
