You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

So, I was looking through my music collection (or the lack thereof) the other day, and I realized that it's sadly lacking any kind of death metal. Any suggestions to fix this problem?

Ew. Sonic. I hate those games.Chozon1 wrote:Dr. Eggman?
...except for 1 and 2. XD
Children of Bodom are awesome. So is Gojira. And most definitely Meshuggah.Strider wrote:So, I was looking through my music collection (or the lack thereof) the other day, and I realized that it's sadly lacking any kind of death metal. Any suggestions to fix this problem?
I'd also recommend Arch Enemy (I don't listen to them), In Flames (again.... don't listen to them), Dethklok (they're awesome) and Amon Amarth (I'd be cautious around them, since their lyrics get... weird).

No... I'm afraid that it'll get all patchy if I grow it in. I'm actually still getting more facial hair, and it's kind of uneven right now... but I totally shaved today.Chozon1 wrote:Do you have a beard?
All of that to say, no..... I don't.
Think I should grow one?

Dostoevsky?
Also, is it Dostoevsky or Dostoyevsky? I've seen it both ways.

When you ask that, I think Lord of the Rings. Because of the whole sequence with Aragorn trying to recruit the Army of the Dead.Chozon1 wrote:Yes. Yes. YES.

And then my mind goes off into two directions. I begin to contemplate the concept of Gehenna... and then I think about Army of Darkness.
Good. Bad. I'm the guy with the gun.

Little known fact about me: I'm a huge fan of Russian literature. Like... pre-Soviet Russian lit, because the Soviets more or less killed that mid-1800s to early-1900s thing that so many Russian authors had going. Beautifully existential writings...epsons wrote:Dostoevsky?

ANYWAY.
I've always seen it spelled Dostoevsky. All of the books I own by him are spelled that way. And sadly, I've not read any of his work, beyond a few chapters of Demons (which, ironically enough, I don't own). I own Crime and Punishment, The Idiot and The Brothers Karamazov. Should probably get on reading those, but I stopped reading Tolstoy because of a particularly depressed period I was going through, and don't want to risk it with Dostoevsky at the moment.
And also, all of those books are packed right now.
