Singed or signed? There's...a rather large difference. And who is Arty Machen? Aside from his being an author, I know nothing.
For me, I'd go with the knife. But then, I enjoy Christian fiction more than many classical reads, and I know you're vastly different.

Arthur Machen wrote The Great God Pan, which is widely considered one of the finest horror novellas ever written. It's included in the collection. Basically, either option would be about $200, but the book is an amazing find compared to the knife. That said, I always need a bigger knife, and carrying a bowie lets me quote Crocodile Dundee if I ever need to draw it.
