My English teacher handed me a copy of the SCUM Manifesto and told me to read it.
"Males are merely incomplete females."

Well, I don't remember saying this, so I've been working my way through the Inheritance Cycle, with me being about a quarter way through Eldest.

Meh, I really couldn't give a flying rat to what other people think.
I also wanted to read them again to give me some perspective. No, they're not as great as I thought they were, but they're still entertaining.
And, Fahrenheit 451 is quite good, despite me being forced to read it.

My favorite Grisham book, aside from The Broker.

Currently reading Searching For God Knows What by Donald Miller. Excellent Christian author. Really love his stuff.
Also, Every Young Man's Battle. Also a great book.

Echoed. Although I've only read Blue Like Jazz. I love how he doesn't get on his soapbox at all, he just relaxes you through the process of his philosophical musings.

Brisingr. Why is that I dislike Eragon (the character) so much?

Because he's so stereotypical, maybe?
Currently trying to finish The Testament, and also reading I Kissed Dating Goodbye.
IKDGB is.....different.
I'm not sure I agree with everything in it.

I read Brisingr yesterday. And I know what you're saying. The writing isn't bad, contrary to some's opinions, but Mr. Eragon
is a fool, a moron, a pansy - he's the most pathetic "hero" I've ever met. I'd like to feed him to his dragon. She's so different
If only Saphira was the human and Eragon was the dragon.

I'm betting the story would be much more interesting. (The Arya love story would be out the window, thank goodness)

Yeah, totally! Though it seems that Saphira is getting a little... I dunno...
