As long as you can toe the gas pedal and maintain consciousness, bladder control, and fine maneuvering ability, there *should be no damage to your car.
Have you ever seriously considered souping up your ride?

A little bit. It was already souped up a bit when I bought it (Aftermarket air intake, modified exhaust system, and a spoiler), but there's still more that could be done.
