Stars, by far. Nothing else comes close.
It's a bit sentimental, but I feel them calling. It's our future, our destiny.

I have. Looks interesting; anything special about it?>

Not standout, it's just a good, solid, turn based fantasy RPG. The trekking back and forth can get tedious, but that's about normal.
It was fun to me. Haven't played the second.
Stars... do you follow Planetary Resources?

I don't, but asteroid mining does seem interesting to me. I love that people are trying it, but it just doesn't strike me as profitable at this time in our civilization.

TBH, I don't care if they're profitable or not as long as they advance the woeful state of space tech

Oh, me too. I say that not for the shareholders, but for the likelihood that the venture would take place. For cutting edge exploration and ventures, it's governments that can fund the high-risk costs. Private enterprise takes over when it becomes safer to invest in. I doubt a private company would be able to set up a whole asteroid mining operation and be competitive, unless government takes or aids the first steps.
But if it's possible, awesome!

Nope. I find the good ones help give a little character to a city and worth tipping. At least they provide music.

Except it's not likely to happen in the US anymore. For a hundred reasons, but yeah. Maybe it's just nationalism but I doubt any other nation will have us colonizing off this rock any time soon either

Much as I hate to rely on greedy corporate interests it looks like that's where it's at.

What's

I still think we got it in us to push space exploration. We're still realistically the closet to getting a mars base.

What are the most important games you've played?

Ahh, cool. That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure.
Master of Orion 2: Best space 4X, easily. My favorite strategy game.
Star Control 2: It's hard to say how much I love this game. Action, adventure, exploration.
Civ 4/5: Wonderful Civ games. A 4X staple.
Alpha Centauri: Just, come on. So good.
Skyrim: This gave me just about everything I looked for in an RPG.
Sonic 2: For the one non-PC game, I still think this is the best platformer around. I have never played it's equal.
Freelancer: Now, I love the wing commander series, but I like the open world of Freelancer and it's more accessible.
I might have more, but this is what I can recall now.
If I had to cut the list down to one suggestion, it'd be a toss up between MoO 2 and Star Control 2.

Your mention of Freelancer made me remember XWing and TIE Fighter.
Old Lucas Arts space dogfighting sims?

So, D2, Empire; single target heal/revive or group heal/cure?

I pull things from it, sometimes.
delve wrote:So, D2, Empire; single target heal/revive or group heal/cure?
Single target, usually. I prefer the concentrated healing and I find I generally need it more, and the Revive is just wonderful.
