It's a heckuva lot better than nylon. That said, even though it's tough and called a polymer...it's still plastic, and has that plastic feel to it, or, at least, my Barkie necker's sheath does. It does come...kinda capable of being mounted on the back of a belt like you requested. But, it's really awkward to snap on and off, so you'd probably be better off picking of a Tek Lok in the long term. FWIW, I've never heard of anyone breaking a Kydex sheath.

Yes, they're identical apart from blade length, unless you get the ESEE 3 Mil, which has a sharpened butt they call a "glass breaker". Where I come from, that's called a skull crusher, but whatever.

Also, that exact model is a clip point, so the tip is thinner than the standard version, which seems to be out of stock. I like the tip's thicker, but a good number of people, even in the hardcore bushcraft crowd, like thin tips for fine work like drilling. YMMV.

Just keep in mind, it's made out of 1095 carbon. It's not at all rust proof, but it holds a good edge. The finish they put on it keeps the bulk of the rust away. Speaking of the finish, it'll wear smooth after enough hard work, but it won't wear off short of sandpaper or paint thinner. Just so you don't start worrying after using it.
I'd probably go with the standard version too, honestly. There are uses for both kinds of blades... but this would be a workhorse of a knife. So no be wanting thin tip.

What fixed blades do you own?

Not counting cheap or broken knives, an ESEE Izula, Bark River Bravo Necker 2, Buck 119, and a custom hunter. Looking to add an ESEE 6 when finances permitting, which looking at the rates of unemployment locally, is no time soon. Oh, and a Hanwei hand-and-a-half reenactment sword. But that doesn't count.

Some chance of the first, probably not the others.

You realize that diamond couriers, at least according to what I know, have a high fatality percentage right?

Yeah. But I'd still steal some diamonds.

It happens.

But I can't help but thinking how fun it would be to have to fight off diamond thieves.

Will you fade away?

What you're hearing is the rapid disintegration of the outer shell of a meteorite. Or Miley Cyrus. They sound about the same.
