There are monkey-fightin' snakes on this Monday to Friday plane.
How're things back in the Republic of Texas?

Hot. Abilene has broken it's record for most consecutive days over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
I wanna move north. Where it's less hot. And if Sarah Palin is elected president, I probably will. XD

Have you decided what Edition to use?

Leaning 2E since it's cheaper, but the more robust combat systems of 3.5 and 4 look worth consideration. For the moment I'm still trying to get a group to play a couple different RPGs. I'm also considering a series I've heard great things about, World of Darkness. I got some free introductory scenarios, which I intend to try with friends at some point.
I'm trying to get my hands on some books from friends and whatnot, mostly so I can play a few games to see if I like the style.

The Dragonsfoot site has a few free adventure modules uploaded by members. 2E is kinda thin on modules in general, but most 1E modules will play just fine in 2E.Deepfreeze32 wrote:Leaning 2E since it's cheaper, but the more robust combat systems of 3.5 and 4 look worth consideration. Will you be the DM?

I'll have to check that site out.
I probably will at first, because it seems like no one here has even heard of Pen-and-paper RPGs, and I'm the only one who's willing to learn all the rules in free time. My hope is that if I get a group together, I can get them versed enough with the rules of whatever game we choose to play that they can be a DM/GM. Ideally, they could host their own games and stuff. My hope is, in the long run, to be able to easily rotate DM/GM duties without too much trouble.
I'd like to think I'd make a good DM, as I can plan things out loosely, and create good stories. One of my DnD friends said "You can up with some pretty compelling ideas for campaigns. I could see you being a good DM at some point."

You're not one of those guys that forms toilets out of stairwells are you?
I don't care how bad you have to go. There is no excuse to do it in a stairwell. None.
I will personally assassinate the man I find doing this if I come across him.
