If I can only chose between the two, modern worship songs. Though lately I've become disillusioned with musical worship, so I don't really like either. :/

No thanks, my mom used to do that and hates it. No way I'll attempt it.

I asked because you have said in other threads that you sometimes have troubles trusting God (as do I). Modern worship songs are all about joy and praising God and being happy, there is little room for doubt, sadness and feelings of disillusionment. If a Christian finds he does have those feelings from time to time, the Psalms can be a comfort, because they do leave room for other feelings besides joy and happiness.

Heh. The only thing that soothes my soul is Dream Theater.
Hats are OK. hat hair is not.

I definitely see your point, but I have trouble seeing the psalms as worship. They seem more like sonnets about a lot of things. The only reason I chose the modern worship songs over them was because they sometimes have good musical accompaniment, and music involving instruments is indescribably more moving to me than any sort of lyrics or singing (With the exception of Soul music, where the singing is as much music as it is a way to convey lyrics). Which is why I refuse to and never will attend a Church of Christ, because I find A Capella music grating and unmoving. My church back home has a worship group that integrates blues and rock styles of music into the worship, and that is the kind of worship I find moving. Because it has instrumentation that moves me.

Hmm...smelly though. Calcium Chloride physically heats up when it touched water, and is odorless. Love the stuff. Don't eat it. O_o
Raze it to the ground?
