Pain overwhelms Kratimos as well as a primal, animalistic rage.
"Brokan, run!Kratimos yells. There is panic in his eyes. He quickly tears off his chain shirt and helmet and stuffs it in his backpack, which he tosses to Brokan, along with his swords. He can feel the beast ripping through. His body beginning to break. His heart tearing. Bones beginning to crack. "Go! I might not be able to control it! Run fast and don't look back!"
"I sure hope I stay awake this time..." Kratimos mutters to himself, in pain. It's never easy, but it's most painful when brought by the moonlight. He takes what clothing he can off during the process and throws them by a distinctive, gnarled tree.
He leaves the wolf tooth amulet he's been wearing around his neck, the one given to him by Father Michael, which he grips tightly in his hand.
"It's just you and me, buddy" His voice cracks through the pain as he talks to the amulet, "I hope I don't lose you, because I think I need you now."

((Fathom, if it's too late to remove my armor, I guess we'll just leave it on and have my pack fall where I am. First time changing in a campaign, after all ))
EDIT: ((d20 says 25 to resist involuntary transformation. We sticking to this?
Because if we do, I'm calling back for Brokan to give me my stuff.))

Spoiler:
The beast wells up, Kratimos feels it's claws tear into his very psyche. Slowly he looses touch with reality and the rage consumes him. The physical changes begin to manifest. Somewhere inside him....strength, strength like he has never known before. suddenly, a whisper....
"I need you with me."
Then a sudden peace washes over him and the beast is gone. Never before has he felt a release from the madness on this level. His head clears and he sees Brokan standing near him. Kratimos struggles for breath, then takes it in all at once. He looks down and notices something strange: He was grasping the amulet in his hand. Also, he could have sworn for a second that a feint glow was dimming from the item itself.
((Unless you were aware that there was going to be a full moon and prepared, it would take too long and too much concentration for you to remove your armor quickly enough before the beast took over. Good roll!))

Spoiler:
((Thanks I'll keep that in mind for tomorrow.))
Kratimos stands up and cracks his neck. And a couple more joints. He doesn't say a word and just reaches out for his items. Once they are back in his hands, he puts his armor and clothes back on (if they were off in the first place). His gaze holds on the amulet, as if offering his gratitude, before putting it back around his neck. He nods his head towards Brokan, signalling he's read to keep moving to camp.

Spoiler:
Brokan is at his wit's end with surprisesand secrets. If Kratimos can see his expression in the moonlight, it displays frustration more than any other emotion.
"Our group is already splintered by pointless religious disputes, disparate philosophies, and people acting bizzarely. I am not inclined to deepen the wound by publically accusing you of keeping secrets that put us all in danger. Whatever just happened, you will have the opportunity to explain whatever you are holding back--to everyone--without my having to demand it. We will all have a lot to talk about at camp tonight."
Brokan continues retracing their path back to camp.

Spoiler:
There are no trees in the immediate area outside of the "entrance." Are you going to find a tree to climb or do you want to try to climb to the summit (200' up)?

Spoiler:
Kratimos could see Brokan's expression, just as it were in mid-day. Kratimos just rolled his eyes.
But Kratimos was frustrated as well; he should have known it was a full moon. How long were they underground? Did it really spin him around so?

Guy had been musing over that very question as he oiled and sharpened his blade. "I... don't know... but I do not trust him. I doubt he would tell me if I asked."
He stands, speaking loudly enough for those still at the camp to hear. "We need to establish watches. I expect the others to be back to camp before nightfall, but we should have a plan just in case. I will take the first watch. Livia, will you take second?" Assuming she agrees ((let me know if she doesn't!)) , he cups his hands around his mouth to make sure CrimsonBlade hears him. "Crimson, will you take third watch?"
He looks over at Minather. "No need for you to take a watch. I know you need rest to work your magic." That's the diplomatic reason, but not the true reason.
He returns to assist Livia in preparing the camp, and answers the rest of her question. "I have never seen him do that before, but before yesterday, I'd never met him before either. Last night we slept in private rooms, so it may very well be that this is a nightly ritual of some kind."

"Sure. I will take the second watch. I haven't exhausted any of my powers yet." Livia smiles and winks at Guy before getting up and going over to her pack. She grabs her waterskin and takes a drink before removing her morning star. She sets it down next to the rest of her things and sits next to them. "Anybody know when the other two will return? It is getting close to dark and I would like to light that fire if it is safe to do so before it is too dark to see.

"The pit seems to be somewhat sunken into the ground, so we should be safe to build a small fire, especially being situated back from the edge. It shouldn't be visible to anyone down in the valley."
He crouches by the edge of the cliff, peering down, hoping to see some sign of their comrades.

Livia takes some of the branches and kindling out of the fire pit and lights what is left. A small fire starts burning. Making sure to add only sticks that are dry to keep the smoke down, Livia sits next to the fire with bigger stick to poke at it.
