After strapping on the sword and shield, Kratimos drew the longsword to take a better look at it. Not ornate, but beautiful in design. A gentle slope gives it a slight leaf-blade. It fits well in his hand. His off hand feels weighted down, but he'll get used to a shield again.
Kratimos slams the sword into the shield. It rings beautifully. He's ready.

It's a good shield.

Trip's violin solo rouses Kratimos deep inside. Exploits of past heroics flash in his mind, and a strength to etch his own legacy in their hall rises. He refuses to show it, but turns his apprehension of the portal into determination.

Kratimos lower his helmet, replacing his face with a grim visage of death and war. He steps through.

I slip in quietly to examine the stain. (( Is it still wet or is it old?))

The pool of blood seems somewhat fresh, though it's possible it's probably hours old judging by the color and how deeply it has soaked into the carpet.

You break free of the spell, it appears it originated from the mage to your right. As it appears, she is in deep concentration, focusing on her words as she speaks.

As the titans do battle, you notice the fierce warrior of the north approaching Rhel from the side. Rhel is locked in concentration maintaining the brutal psychic emanation doing battle with the lizard creature.

What will Guy do?

Do I hear any noise at all?

Muttering a curse, Guy teleports to stand between Rhel and the warrior.

This one battles the beast by our side. Stand down.

Crimson sighs, disappointed that she can't read a simple letter in peace. She folds the letter into her pocket and hopes that she can live to read it someday. Disgusted, exhausted and a wee bit frightened of the vile creature coming her way, she readies her crossbow to try and take it down from a distance. She glances behind her to double check her exit route if she needs to hightail it out of there.

The arrow flies harmlessly through its rib cage. It lifts its massive club for a strike.

The bulk of the creature hinders its movements in the confined space. It swings, clipping the ceiling as it does so, which arrests its momentum. It pulls the club free and readies itself.

You hear a feint shuffling coming from deeper inside the house.

ARGH!!! Frustrated Crimson readied her crossbow for a better strike. She's thankful he missed as well.

(( Wait. I am confused. I was visiting the Temple of St. Cuthbert.))

((You are visiting the Temple. It's a ran down shack in a dilapidated district and when you arrived, this is what you've found so far.))

Hastily Crimson loads and fires only to have her bolt ricochet off the sturdy bone of the creature. It's right arm lunges forward and Crimson is hit squarely in the chest, her lungs force the air from her body and she struggles for breath as she is knocked to the ground. ((Take 8 damage)) The creature takes a step forward and readies its club for the killing blow.

Music? The sound of an inspiring tune played on the violin can be heard followed by he smell of ozone. The stench grows and from behind the creature a tear in the fabric of reality forms. From the tear emerge two forms that are barely visible to the eye. They pause for a moment.

"Tork VEDAK" One cries and it moves with lightning speed as it leaps forward swinging fiercely; the arm of the creature lies on the floor still grasping the club. The second rushes forward and chops the legs out from under the massive bone monster followed by the first cleaving the creature's skull in two.

This cloaked being pulls it's blade from the skull and kicks the dismembered torso over, now lifeless. It walks forward and removes the covering over it's head to reveal what looks to be an incredibly pale humanoid with bright red eyes and shock white hair.

"Bo tutch val haskol." He says to Crimson

Behind the first two, three other cloaked creatures enter through the portal. Following these, ten heavily armored soldiers armed with viscous looking weapons. Several of the cloaked soldiers move out of the room and file down the hall, silent. The last massive warrior exits, his armor looks to be of solid gold covered in powerful glowing runes. The sound of the violin grows as an odd looking elf enters the room playing the tune followed by a stranger sight still. Kratimos.

Guy activates his armor and appears in front of the charging Northlander.

"This one battles the beast by our side. Stand down." He looks into the eyes of the warrior and notices a soft blue glow. The man appears unphased by Guy's appearance and continues to barrel forward, swinging his massive axe which collides into the sturdy armor Guy is wearing. No damage is done but it's clear that this warrior is frenzied or even possessed and reason is beyond him.

The witch focuses and fires a bolt of lightning into the Psionic emanation. The blind folded man joins her and being to attack the golem creature with his bare fists and the giant lizard strikes forward with it's massive claw rending its crystal body followed by a gust of fire from it's mouth. Rhel grabs his head and recoils in pain. He pushes his hands out in front of him and the emanation swings its massive fist into the skull of the giant lizard.
