I've never had it but I'd love to try it. My parents went to the Olympics last year and they tried ginger beer. My cello teacher described it to me as ginger ale on steroids.

Rose petals are ok. I've actually had one before. Tasted like.... Uh... A flower. Lol. I don't think God meant for people to eat lavender.
