What I meant was, I don't like Hugh Jackman, but that I was joking that you referred me to a movie that you didn't like as an example of talent. It just made me laugh is all.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
Wow, I honestly do not see where all the hate comes from.
I personally loved this movie.
If you don't mind a retelling of the back stories of the G.I. Joe characters, you would probably like this.
I just went in expecting to see a fun, actiony, cheesy, and stupid film.
I got exactly that.
What more can you ask of a movie than getting what you want?

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Meh.

Dog Bite Dog.
Wow.
The most unrelentingly brutal and nihilistic movie I've seen to date. And yet, it shows the worst of humanity finding his humanity, and a cop falling until becoming a mirror of the monster he was fighting.
A+

Nice to know I wasn't the only one who felt that way about that one.

G.I. Joe
It had some pretty cool action scenes... but for the most part it sucked.

My family is pretty conservative, but when my mom and dad watched it they said that it was pretty bad...

State of Play
It's a well-written, well-acted, very believable, and highly intelligent thriller that represents the best of its genre...up until about the last 15 minutes when the writers decide to throw in another plot twist for no other reason than throwing in another plot twist. This hiccup holds State of Play back from being a great one, but it's still one of the best thrillers of 2009. Particularly worthy of note is a stellar (though brief) performance by Jason Bateman, who proves his depth as an actor goes far beyond simple roles like the ones he's played in Arrested Development and Hancock.

Bulletproof Monk, entertaining but not a martial arts film.
