cool! I wonder how tall you'll be all said and done!

The goal is to get to be about 7'. My buddy and I are the same height in real life, and I plan to be a liiiiiiitle bit taller in my armor

So I finished assembling the feet. Here's a shot of the inside of the left boot. The PVC caps are bolted down, the hinges installed and there's a spring on the hinge to limit the toe's travel downward when I walk. There's also a metal brace on the sole to limit downward toe flex.



I also added a band around the outside of the boots so I could move the "pivot" for the toe sections outward so it looks more correct. Walked around a bit on the feet. PVC holding fine. This is going to take some getting used to.

That is just way too cool. XD They look amazing!

A little more progress. None of the internals on the lower legs are done yet, but the outer shell is.

wow they look so huge!

The additional benefit being that when she's on those stilts, I can kiss her without having to bend way down, so it's yet another win for the project!

how tall are you guys (outside of the suit?)

I'm 5' 7" and Jay is 6' 2"

I'm 6' even in bare feet, she's 5' and 3/4 of an inch. In the armor legs she's just a little taller than I am since I designed the stilts to provide about 14" of lift.

Psh, ya'll. I'm a bit over 6'3 and my wife's 5'1.

But on a more important note, Arctic, those are looking awesome! Excited to see as more parts start coming to be.

Thanks! Yeah now that I have parts that are recognizably Space Marine, it's feeding my motivation in a big way. All of my other hobbies have been on hold for weeks now.
