I used about 30 hours to build the rocket, space suit, refining fuel (after first losing 20 hours when the combustion engine blew up and the oil plant with it) and ramp out of my cavebase.. not sure if that is slow or normal progress... but guess what, it crashed and I was stranded on the tekkit moon. You only have a few seconds to start to slow down after the moon loads, before it suddenly pops into view in front of you, and I didnt know.

I didnt play more tekkit in a while :P

If I sneeze, and a tearing, burning pain shoots up my side, this is bad, yes?

We cover a water melon in gold, and boil it in some suspicious looking plant that dissolves it all, then we drink it, voila we get healed.

In real life: what happens when you eat gold? As far as I know its toxic (but less toxic than silver)?

I'm not 100% sure. I know that you can make thin enough gold leaf to be edible (if you're rich enough to desire it... I think I heard of it in some extravagant dessert. I know 30 Rock made a joke about it once) and it's supposed to be biologically inert (hence why you can get it in fillings, and why it is used in medical applications).

So my slightly educated (and by that, I mean "slightly more than your average bear") guess would be that, given it's use in dessert decoration for the rich and extravagant, it's likely that if you don't eat much of it and if it's pure enough, you're not gonna have a bad time. Can't really speak to the way it tastes, though. The only gold I've ever purchased was in my fiancee's ring :P

There's something oddly humiliating about losing your shoes in mud?

I do know of a cinnamon schnapps that has gold flakes in it. It's called, unsurprisingly enough, Goldschlager. It used to be one of my wife's favorites, back when she was drinking alcohol.

Does this sound tasty to you?

Haha, well, maybe. The only cinnamon stuff I've had is Fireball, which is considerably lower on the price bracket, so it might be worth a shot to say that I did it. Can't say cinnamon anything is in my top 10 go-to drinks though :P

I actually saw a video about edible gold. It's apparently not terribly expensive (because while gold is expensive, it depends on karat, quality, and quantity, etc).

Also.

I see what you did there. :P

Heck yes cider. Angry Orchard for Walmart-available stuff (I prefer it to Woodchuck), local ciders if possible. MI has a lot of apple orchards, so that usually isn't a problem but it's pretty seasonal.

Speaking of local stuff: I cannot get enough of Bell's Oberon, haha XD it is the definition of a summery beer for me. I don't know how far west it's distributed, but it is one of many great MI microbrews. One of the things I love about my state is how the Great Lakes create a miniature hops/grapes-friendly area along the west coast, and there's microbreweries all over the state. Heck, my fiancee's hometown has farms that even supply the barley for some of them.

...aaaawwww yiss. Beer culture. :3

Angry Orchard for the win. If you haven't yet, try a bottle of Strawman/Iceman/The Muse (Depending on season). It's basically Cider Champagne. It's expensive, but it's good.

You should totes visit my current town, Portland. There's a local cider house that sells the best Ice Cider I've ever had. There's another that makes Blackberry Cider (It's drier than you might expect, but quite pleasant). Not to mention more microbreweries and microdistilleries than you can shake a stick at. We have craft spirits, craft beer, craft cider...it's kind of amazing. Any time I want a good drink, the hardest choice is "Which one do I want to try today?"

(If you do end up visiting, or you're lucky enough to have it locally, try the Black Butte Porter from Deschutes Brewery. It's the best dang porter I've ever had.)

Not saying you should do it right away...but maybe once you're married and/or have a lull in classes. :P

What style(s) of beer do you like?

Oof. That's not an easy question :P I like a lot, and I'm hard pressed to find something that I don't like. I guess I would have to say that varies with the season. I like lighter beers in the summer and more bitter, darker, "chewier" beers as it gets colder. There's some good stouts and porters around here, and I favor those in the winter months. Really, the only thing I almost never drink is IPAs. I like them on occasion, but I'm just not a hops nut.

Semi-related, my roommates and I found an Oberon mini-keg. It was enjoyed heartily in combination with a cigar on a sunny hilltop. Ahhh, summer.
