((Yup, that'll be a good attack roll. Also, roll your damage roll in case your attack roll succeeds. Since you are doing an unarmed strike, you do a d3 roll. Unfortunately, the dice plugin doesn't recognize d3, so roll a 1d6, and then we'll divide it by half then add your STR bonus))

The one armed man comes in range, Jack then attempts a front kick.
-Attack-
[dice]0[/dice]
Total 3
-Damage-
[dice]1[/dice]
Total: 2
((Oh wow... XD))

((For future dice rolls, you can include the mod in the dice tags, so instead of doing 1d20 and then adding later, you can just write in 1d20-3 and it'll do the rest. Also, don't forget to roll 1d10+2 for Initiative.))
Jack moves for a frontal kick, but the dust from the rubble causes his foot to slip. His kick falls short, but he still manages to keep his balance. Unfortunately, that left him open for one armed man and a painful and cold grip takes hold of his shoulder. He has grabbed you.
((Roll either a 1d20+STR or 1d20+DEX to get out (either muscling your way out, or slipping out), usually, you just choose the better of the two. Good luck.))

Jack readied his escape, he was rather glad that the figure attacking him only had one arm,
but he didn't want to underestimate the man's grip.
((Do I roll a dice for initiative for this? I'll roll it just in case.))
-Initiative-
[dice]0[/dice]
-Defensive roll-
[dice]1[/dice]
((Edit: Forgot to add my dex to the defensive roll,))
+2 thus Total = 9.

You struggle to bend yourself out of his vise grip, but he holds fast and it's all you can do to keep his bloody and rank mouth from digging into you.

((If you could re roll your Initiative roll. It's a d10 + INIT (it's on your char sheet), so it'd be d10+3 for you. I know, it totally looks like d20 at first glance.
Also, you get a little more oomph with a bit old rock, so go ahead and roll damage with a d4.))
Luke grabbed a nearby heft piece of rubble, but between the weight and the shifting body of the crazed man as he struggled with Jack, he was unable to get a hit.

((Don't forget the STR bonus on your melee attack. Your attack didn't hit, it'd have done a 1d4+1. But for the most part, you got it, and great initiative roll!
So far, in your party, this is the round order:
Luke
Jack
Stephen
Since Luke, you left to help Jack, Chris is now there holding up the the wreckage so that Conner can get out. As they are stuck with that task, we're going to continue combat. You have top initiative, so you get to go again, starting the next round.))

Luke sees that lumbering around with rubble isn't going to help anyone so he goes for a kick to the one armed mans leg
Attack roll
[dice]2[/dice]
damage roll
[dice]1[/dice]
((EDIT I rolled a d10 for attack :/ I should have rolled a d20 the d10 roll is down there // ))
[dice]0[/dice]
(( sorry for being such a noob

))

((Nah, you're doing good! Although, unarmed strikes are d3 attacks and not d4 like the rubble, so that'd be a 1d6 /2(for a simulated 1d3) + 1. But, don't worry, the guy had 2 HP left and so you get the kill regardless.))
Luke drops the rubble and spins around doing a leg sweep. The leg of the zombie is caught and he goes falling down, carrying Jack with him. His head strikes on a corner of the rubble and cracks into the skull, immediately seizing his movement. Jack is able to pry himself off and pick himself up.

Stephen watches the scene and tries not to roll his eyes. Kids. There's still wounded around that need finished off.
((If my target is say, the old lady who passed out or another incapacitated target, is there any bonus involved?))

"You have my thanks!" Jack said as he picked up his backpack which he had previously used to avoid the zombie's biting attacks by using his free arm to release the pack from that side, thus giving Jack the ability to slide the other strap through his other arm and the zombie's in order to press the backpack against the monster's mouth. Jack wanted thank Luke more, but now wasn't quite the best time for that. Jack didn't like the look of the people who fell victim to the zombie that was just slain, so he went to help Chris get Conner out after letting Luke know where he was going to. Though one thing bothered Jack as he ran to Christ and Conner... where is Tim?
((Thanks for the help there Lac!))
((With that last battle, I think I am understanding how combat works. Much more than I did anyways.))
((Edit: Ah that's right, I'll edit the name asking part. XD))

((There is no experience in this game. Only survival and what you can accomplish. Why attack the wounded/dead? Is that a habit of yours? I only ask because the "zombiehood" is not yet fully determined. You can, of course, do whatever you want. If you want to insist that they might "come back," that's definitely your prerogative.))
After the tussle with the two crazed men, you find that you all attracted a small crowd around, silent and aghast at what is happening. You start to hear thumping from inside the plane as bloody hands claw against the windows.
((Also, JOJ, for the purposes of the story, you can assume you all know each other somewhat, both from the forums and the meetup all five of you were at.
Glad to see you are picking up. I wanted to keep the combat a little hidden as you have to find out how through experience how these guys work.))

(( I meant like for my attack rolls. And, yeah, unless we're in a sanitized universe a la The Walking Dead, If I see mostly dismembered and otherwise broken people attacking and eating others, I'd act under the presumption of zombies until otherwise proved.))
