Your thoughts on shunning people?

It may just be a matter of time. I've had a few articles published, but other than that, I'm still in the "unknown" category, too. I've got a couple of novels written, and have been shopping the latest one out to publishers.

Have you ever heard of National Novel Writing Month? If so, have you participated?

Awesome. I hope you get published! And yes, I've done NaNoWriMo for going on four years now. This year I'm also planning on doing their summer Camp months (June and August). I'm assuming you've done NaNoWriMo as well in the past?

What about Mario bros?

Yes! I've played Super Mario Bros. on the Wii tons of times, as well as a few earlier versions (I'm so glad they've improved the graphics! ). My current favourite Wii game is now Super Smash Bros. Brawl. That game is FUN.

Your thoughts on shunning people?

It's acceptable when necessary. Having done it many times myself, I find that it is a useful way of avoiding the lunacy that is humans.

Indeed! I did it for three years - 2008, 2009 and 2010 - and had a blast each time. I didn't do it in 2011 because I was beta-testing a game, and last year I just couldn't get my thoughts together or find the time to do it (one of my coworkers was out on maternity leave so a bunch of her duties fell on my shoulders. I couldn't take a break from regular work to work on my new novel at the same time!) I'm hoping to be able to participate this year, though! Now I just need to decide which novel to try and write this time.

Incidentally, this current prospect that I'm trying to get published was my NaNo from 2010. I've expanded it to 77,000 words, but after reading one publisher's suggestions from their website, I've started on a fourth edit to see if I can get it over 80,000 words.

Having been on Minecraft for less than two weeks, one doesn't tend to have a long list of things they've built. But, I have dug a cave, and made a mote. And I have an underground farm. I think I'll go with my mote, considering it took days to fill (using one iron bucket and a small water source a ways away). Such are the woes of a newbie on Minecraft...

Wow! Awesome. And 80,000 words is quite impressive. I'd like to say I reached 50,000 every time I did NaNoWriMo, but that would so not be the truth. And this last time I really wanted to focus on my story world, so in the end I had about 20,000 words that were the beginning of a history book and interviews with my characters. But at least I'll have a bit of substance for this next time around.

I'd like to say I reached 50,000 every time I did NaNoWriMo, but that would so not be the truth. And this last time I really wanted to focus on my story world, so in the end I had about 20,000 words that were the beginning of a history book and interviews with my characters. But at least I'll have a bit of substance for this next time around.

It's good to have a solid foundation to start from. This coming November, perhaps we should challenge and support each other in our latest endeavors. Could be just the push both of us need to crank out a new classic!

What are your thoughts on the nether?

Bummer! Hmm, I think that once I've been to the nether a bit more I'll like it better. For now it's just a matter of surviving the zombie pig-men; it's fun, but it's not often that I like dying.

Um, I don't think so. I like country, some pop or rock (it really depends), symphonic metal (though I've only heard and liked Nightwish and Within Temptation, so I can't say I like every version of the genre), Lindsey Sterling (whatever version of music she is...), and lots of movie soundtracks. Pirates of the Caribbean, How to Train Your Dragon, Lord of the Rings, and Pan's Labyrinth are just to name a few.

Funny you should mention it; in the past week or so I was thinking of starting to play the violin, as I had also thought of years ago. So yes, I like 'em, both playing and listening to them.
