Eh. That's why you lie.

Why is it when I need to create a fully real individual with a history, an education, and a family, all with realistic never erring jobs I can do so, and never forget any details over a good period of time, but when I sit down to write something useful...nothing?

You get for paid lying, but crafting a good story will generally get you passed over for Stephanie Myers, or dime rags.

Pretty much.

HG Wells and Jules Verne were better than Nostradamus?

Tesla was better than them all.

But if I'm honest with you...I'm fuzzy with nostril boy.

HG and Verne are, I think, quintessential reading for males under the age of 20. I'd toss tom Swift onto that as well.

Good stuff.

Nostradamus was a "psychic".

What I was saying is the two of them were extremely accurate prophets.

Why males under 20?

Interesting. I'll have to look up Nostradamus...I'm unsurprised that ye olde fiction became the new reality though...which leads me to why peoples under 20 should be made to read those: It's where Ideas come from. :D Prophecy it may be, but I'm more inclined to think that so many people have read the books the begin to have dreams of the future. Fun times.

Though everyone should probably read them, males specifically because they're like pocketknives. Every boy needs one. Even if they're going to cut themselves numerous times.

Or so I think.

Which perhaps makes it even more awesome.

Interesting book is interesting.

What's even more surprising to me is the fact I'd always considered Sci-Fi a politically untouched genre...when in fact it's rife with people pushing their views. O_o

Really? Because even, say, Twenty Thousand Leagues had pretty significant political undercurrents iirc, moreso when combined with it's sequel, The Mysterious Island.

Don Quixote?

I know. It just never really clicked in my head...it's almost propaganda how hard stuff is pushed. O_o Though I kinda wish I had never had that realization.

Never read it, but thanks to Wishbone and reading Rainbow I learned the gist of the story.
