I can't offer a recommendation either way. I'm notoriously difficult in giving ratings to movies.

However...it turned from an "aliens taking over the earth, humanity's getting handed it's spleen, then God steps in and says 'No'" sci-fi to "Man deals with family issues born from his messy divorce as the world crumbles around him and Dakota Fanning spazzes out while the teen rebels, then evolution steps in and says 'AH HAH I GOT U'".

That is all.

Meh. Same reason I never cared to see/read the Golden Compass.

Because it's poorly written tripe? I concur, after watching the movie. Which is a shame, because I think it had potential.

How about...The Water Margin?

More because I tend to dislike heretical/written against God literature...I'm unashamed to admit that. And I tend to not ascribe to the "experience it before you judge it closed minded ignoramus" way of thinking.

Haven't heard of that...I'd look it up but I think those sardines just hit my lower intestine and I'm feeling crummy in the tummy.

Ah, tis cool.

You'd like The Water Margin. It's a monster of a book though.

You need to go to more estate sales?

You're allowed to tell me to shut my cavernous pie hole, you know.

And...heck yes. O_o I've not been to many in my time, but I've found some cool stuff.

Not as cool as your books or compy.

But still cool.

So...I just found out a distance learning course in archaeology from the University of Leicester would be both affordable and somewhat easy, since it seems like a pure archeology course, ie, no math. Just would need to visit the campus once to learn proper tradecraft. One problem: Leicester is in England.

Good or bad idea?

Since when is going to the land of bad teeth and fish & chips a bad idea?

Do. Freaking. It.

Hideously ugly weapons laws and the temptation to melt a coin are your only issues.

I'm at like...4450-ish now. And I spent 40 on a raffle.

Getting kicked out of a survey because I think CoD sucks?
