Beaten Metal Gear Solid?

Because if you have, you owe it to yourself to play the sequels. 2 has a crazy, mind-blowing story, and 3 is just all kinds of awesome.

And as a bonus question, general thoughts on Metal Gear Solid?

Yeah, but if you go to the Philippines, you could get automatic weapons for a couple hundred bucks. Just sayin.

I have. Haven't decided whether or not to play the sequels. But I loved the original.

As for the first one...amazing game. One of the few games I would apply that label to in all srsness. The story was not only deep, but it applied to the real world in such a way that you take the game with you after you beat it. Not only that...but the game itself had great mechanics and characters.

Like a good movie...that you control. XD

I hadn't thought of that. O_o The stuff I don't know...

And...original? One of the greatest Sci-Fi's known to man. The H.G. Wells story? Literally hilarious. The Tom Cruise ruination? Made me weep that they destroyed such a movie.

Well, allow me to introduce why you should play the sequels.

2 has, as I said, a crazy awesome story that sends you through so many loops it's hard to keep of track of them. It improves the mechanics in noticeable ways, like allowing you to shoot (But still not move) from the first-person perspective. It also improves the graphics, so things don't look so rough. :P

3 is a different story altogether. Not only is it set before Metal Gear 1 (Which is before Metal Gear Solid), but it (if you get the far superior Subsistence version) adds a dynamic camera for movement, an improved heal system, a stamina system which requires you to hunt and consume food (Including spoilage of raw food and sickness resulting from it), a customizable camouflage system, and an awesome, pseudo-historical story. Jungle-based environments make things different, adding far more options for approaching a given situation, and requiring you to adapt your camo to the approach. Also, the game keeps track of the system clock. What this means is that if you turn the game off while sick and injured (injuries not including broken bones), and turn it back on a few days later, you are healed of them, or at least partially.

You want to try them now? At least try the 3rd if you aren't sold on the second's weaker protagonist, and more complicated story.

While numbah 3 sounds awesome, it's more the moral content in it as to why I have not bought them.

Numbah one...would probably be rated T in a modern ESRB.

I have all mutts. Except for my dog...but that's just a slight chance.

So...not really. I have had movies, music, catchphrases, and food ruined though.

I'll openly admit that white German shepherds (my first dog) have been barred from future ownership because Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Aniston both have one.

Why is anyone a fan of the LA Lakers?

Sad panda. I think your reasoning is reasonable though. XD

I would assume they enjoy lakes.

Yes, actually.

South Park is no fun...nor do I really like the origin of the meme.

But the idea of a sad bear is funny.

Is that the one they released for free?

I don't think I ever played it. I think I have a copy on disc that I got in the magical grab bag of games...but I don't think I had a key for it.

Nope, that was the first one. Seriously, if you can spend $20 in the future, get it, it's right up your alley. Like, I just layed siege to Rushmore...and Teddy Roosevelt's head opened up to a giant laser.

Boots?

O_o That...is hilarious. XD

Love boots. At least in theory. I can't find a pair in which the comfort compares to a pair of converse.

Except for tabi boots. But those are closer to socks.
