Usually, it's only the dead or dying ones I dissemble. I love the neodymium magnets too. Always fun.

Plasma balls?

I made some in the microwave a little more with grapes.

Serious. Super cool. Cut a grape almost in half, but leave a bit of the skin connecting the two halves. Dry off any access moisture and place it in the microwave open face up. In a couple seconds on high, it should start shooting plasma up.

Don't burn your house down with this science.

...So...is it actually electrically charged ionized gas, or just steam and/or hot grape jelly?

Electrically charged ionized gas. Complete with sound effects.

I'm not quite sure about what's in the grape or why it has to be loosely connected by the skin, but it's works beautifully.

That...was glorious. Ultimate evil science impress trick. Especially if I ripped the magnetron out of a microwave and built a portable gun with it...YEsssssssss.

In other childish science tricks, ever tried to burn a styrofoam cup full of water?

Supposedly, you can fill a styrofoam cup full of water, and when set in a campfire, it will not burn. Surprisingly, at least the one time I tried it, it worked. The water began to boil out, but after a thin layer melted off the surface (and the rim), the cup was unaffected for a good fifteen minutes.

What about...gasoline and styrofoam?

So I've heard you're an IPA fan. I tried one a while back...it was all I could do not to throw it away. That aftertaste man...

Why do you like them (Assuming you do)?

The aftertaste is your weakness melting away. Once you let that pass through you, all that is left is a man.

Well, I like the bitterness and hops. A lot. It's refreshing and I just straight up enjoy it. While the IPA is a generally strong ale (in bitterness and alcohol content), it's starting to feel even a little tame for me. (not to mention all other beers just don't do a whole lot for me at all) The ideal is a double/imperial IPA. Now that, my friend, is a wondrous drink.

Now, the bitterness and hops is an acquired taste and because of it's prohibitive nature on many people, hopheads like myself like use this as a reason to point at IPAs as the manliest drink of all time.

Now you got me all thirsty.

Chozon, that's way cool. I would not have expected that.
Doesn't gasoline melt styrofoam? Like, it makes napalm.

What is the preferred way to drink beer? I know friends who drink it straight out of the bottle, and I know friends who wouldn't dare do that because they claim it makes the taste more chemically saturated.

Thoughts?

I'm not such a stickler and I haven't noticed any difference in taste. Bottle, glass, or can (a rare occasion, but some good beers to come in cans (i.e. 21st Amendment Brewery). A chilled stein, however, is probably my favorite way.

Another great beer just occurred to me to suggest for you: A Belgian Quad. These baby's are pretty hard to find. They don't come in 6 packs. Generally a large bomber bottle (and be sure to get one with a corked top), but they are an incredible brew. I say this with them being very not bitter. Sweet, actually. Not saccharine or sugary sweet, but rich and thick. An almost raiseny taste. You can thank the Belgian monks for this special elixer.
