So... I'm wanting a new firearm. I can't decide on what I want, though. I'm thinking it'll be around $400-ish, give or take.
I may get a Marlin bolt .22, because I've always wanted one. Bolts are my favorite action and the most accurate out there, really. Need one so badly. XD
I also want a new shotty. All I've got for a shotgun is a pardner single shot. Great gun, never fails... but it's only one shot. I want either a Moss, Rem or Benelli pump. I'm really leaning towards a Benelli Nova, as those things are just sweet.
Then again, I could save my pennies a little longer and get something else. But I don't know what, too many choices. XD
Any suggestions/thoughts?

Well I've only taken in out once so far, but I love my Marlin bolt. But for $400 you could probably get a CZ 452, which are amazingly accurate little buggers with occasional beautiful figuring on the stocks.Nix wrote:So... I'm wanting a new firearm. Shotguns...the Mossberg or Remington are both at the local shop for about $250 used, where a Nova is like $300 used, and much more new.
In addition, the Mossberg and Rem. are well established platforms, and are nigh infinitely modifiable, whereas the Nova's a newcomer and there's not so many aftermarket parts. Just a consideration.
Otherwise, I do love my Enfield. Haven't taken it out yet, but man, the action's like glass. Ammo is also rare and expensive.
My Savage .17 is a nice rifle. Accurate, great trigger. Ammo's around what 12ga is. I'd also look at Savage for a bolt .22, mainly for the accutrigger, which rocks.

Why does it seem to only cars I've ever really loved all get cruddy reliability ratings?
Not even sports cars; Wranglers, Bugs, Rangers, and El Camino's.

Well first of all, half the fun of owning a Wrangler is constantly working on it XD.
The others...because no human on earth should lower their self to the level of driving a Bug. Rangers are kinda smallish girly trucks and El Camino's are the same, but for Mexicans.

Chozon. Dude. Go at least as far as an F-150. The F-series is ze bestest.
So... you really like the CZs, aye? I hear they're accurate, but what else attracts you to them?
Yeah, I've been also thinking of a bolt .17 hmr with a bull barrel. Probably a Marlin.Orodrist wrote:Well I've only taken in out once so far, but I love my Marlin bolt. Honestly, I think they're flat out gorgeous.
And they're Czech, and the Czech's have a long history with firearms, and know the craft well. The example I held had a pretty smooth action to go with it. Not as smooth as my SMLE, but it also hasn't had 94 years to break in XD.
Personally, I'll probably go with the 453. Out of you price range, but it has a single set trigger, which basically means you can either pull it normally, or push it forward first, reducing the main pull to about 8oz.
And yes, by all reports they're accurate. Near Anschutz accuracy at half the price.
Though, for plinking, I'd just as soon take my Marlin. I wouldn't have to worry about banging it up.

Hater.
Have you ever sat in a bug? They're huge. I'm six foot one or so, leaning towards six-two. I could easily fit myself into the drivers seat and have room to spare with legs and head stretched out. O_o It's like...the first car ever I could do that.
El Camino's...well, you may be right there. I love them though. XD
What should I look for then?

I like the Wrangler idea. And a Chevy Silverado. What I learned on. Not Nix's idea of a Ford. Fix Or Repair Daily. <_<

I know a Ford mechanic. I'm more concerned about the gas drinking of it. Otherwise...I heart them. XD

Any truck is gonna suck gas, Chozon. Whether it be a Chevy, Dodge or Ford... doesn't matter. Trucks are built for power, not saving you money on gas. XD
Diesels are better on fuel, but the fuel itself also costs more soooo. Yeah.

So Oro... what's the price range on these CZs? I've never once seen them in a store around here. :\

Aye. I knew that. Silverado's and the lot are pretty much the same efficiency as F-1fiddy's. Just...trucks are cool. O_O
Probably, I'll end up with a tiny Japanese car which I will be thankful for but have trouble fitting into. XD

Well...my Savage is better than your Marlin! And the fact that it's a .17 has nothing to do with that <_<.Nix wrote: Ford > Chevy any day of the week, bro.

Locally, the Military Trainer is about $350 - 400. The American is more on the $400 mark, and unlike the Trainer, it lacks open sights.Nix wrote: So Oro... what's the price range on these CZs? I've never once seen them in a store around here. :\
