It's actually not bad. But it's really corny, which really fits the movie. If that makes sense. Anyway, I was kind of cajoled into seeing it and I wasn't let down. I mean, come on. Where else are you going to see Hilary Swank acting like a Valley girl? Where will you see Paul Reubens playing a vampire? Here, that's where. It's worth it.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

It was slightly enjoyable. Not the best movie ever, but fun...

I thought it was pretty good, if not accurate.

Hmm.

Was pretty good, but it went a little slow at points.

Also seemed a bit generic, although Riddick owned.

Yes Man - Decent, but Jim Carrey has seen much better days. C+

A good portion of Hellboy: The Golden Army. Having not seen all of the first yet either, I wasn't sure what to expect, but del Toro's visual style definitely shines through.

Donnie Darko - It will always get an A in my book.

I don't have much more to say other than "wow." One of the best films about dysfunctional families that I've ever seen.

A+

Body of Lies

A well-made, but ultimately forgettable, film about the war in Iraq and terrorism. Ridley Scott has done better.

Positive and uplifting story, but some of the acting was cringe-inducing (but you can't really expect too much for a film with a budget of $500K). Overall, pretty good. B-

Hotel for Dogs

There was just too many illogical moments to make this a good movie... but did have a few cute scenes. C-

Okay. First of all... I'm not getting why so many people are hating this movie. It was mega corny, as it was supposed to be. It was over-the-top. And it most definitely wasn't amazing. But it's a family movie. The theatre was full of little kids. That's the style of it. So... before you judge it... think about that, please.

All right, so it was a fun movie, certainly. Amy Adams totally pulled the best performance. The script was obviously geared for kids, so I didn't do more than chuckle for most of it. All in all, it was a good DVD movie for a family with young children.

So... keeping in mind the type of movie that it was... I'd give it a C

Phillip Seymour Hoffman was...wow. Incredible. He blew me away. He's a god among men when it comes to acting. Directing was great, story was great, and Ethan Hawke impressed me.
