Hot Fuzz

Awesome. The last 45 minutes of this movie seriously has just about everything an action junkie could ever want in a movie.

Bolt - B

First half was boring, second half was awesome. Good family film. :P

Swing Vote - B+

Charming, and the characters were pretty strong. And a dumb president. "Everyone likes icecream."

Slumdog Millionaire - C+

I can see why it got tons of awards, but... it's just kind of "there". Not entertaining, but just a little bit intriguing. Parents didn't like it, my brothers thought it was alright... it's... blech. It was -made- for critics pretty much.

Body of Lies - A-

Gritty, real, and some good writing. Pretty good stuff.

Quantum of Solace - B

Doesn't really go anywhere, but a decent villian and good action. It's no Casino Royale.

The Day the Earth Stood Still - B-

A decent sci-fi flick, WITH HORRIBLE CGI HELICOPTERS. This ain't 1996. Kthnx.

Star Trek - A-

Awesomeness. In Space.

Blockbusters ftw!

Same, and I concur.

I could. But then... I was probably being generous for Mr. Reeves and Ms. Connelly. >.>

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

That's an awfully low score for Slumdog. Oh well.

I just watched Knocked Up again. Good movie.

Terminator Salvation

Disappointing. It took the solid characters and great plot evident in the previous films and replaced it all with action. Nothing. But. Action. It was a constant bombardment of action. With more action thrown in.

The visual style of the film was gorgeous (it obviously took a ton of inspiration from Children of Men), and both Christian Bale and Sam Worthington held their own, but that didn't make up for its problems in the least.

Makes me sad. Oh well. I think I'm seeing it tomorrow... with my brain turned off. XD

I'm just finishing up Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The movie. From 1992.

It stars Kristy Swanson, Donald Sutherland, Luke Perry and Paul Reubens... and it's pretty awesome. If you like Buffy, see it to see what the series initially came from.

Oh and it's also kind of encouraged me to see the show. Just a couple of episodes. Y'know, to see if I like it. ;)
