Hmmm...I think I'll read Nightbringer if I can find it.

If I can't, then "A treasure Deep" by Alton Gansky it is.

I'm just starting on book 3 in Quicksilver. Since you can buy each book separately... I'll call it Odalisque, by Neal Stephenson.

Twilights End.

Star Trek, though it sounds way more awesome than that.

It's interesting, but it has some suggestive stuffs in it, so I can't recommend it. If your gonna' read a Star Trek book, definitely go with "Doctors Orders" foul language, but WAY better story, and a hopeful ending.

Well... long story short... I came across a book my brother had from the library and started reading. I only read the prologue so far, but I was intrigued.

Margaret Weis' and Tracy Hickman's

Dragon Wing, Volume 1 of The Death Gate Cycle.

Interesting stuff.

The Legacy by R.A. Salvatore. Yes, that is all I read is Salvatore. I might start on some Stephen King someday, though.

So... I'm... 70 pages in or something like that. Understand that, for me... fictional reading for personal enjoyment... doesn't happen much... so that's actually a minor feat.

Frankly, I really like this book. I'm not so fond of the switch from one key player to another that has just taken place. I understand these sorta things have to happen in such epically large stories (this one spans seven sizable books), but I found myself really interested in one character... and now I'm having to learn about this other one.

Anyway... rambling aside... high fantasy is crazy stuff, and I really like this book.

Kendrik- I hope the character that you liked was Haplo, because he is the protagonist of the series. It's hard to tell that in the first book, though. I didn't like the first book a whole lot, but I like the series as a whole. If you like it now, expect it to get better. :)

EDIT- not reading anything right now, because i can't find anything at the local libraries that I want to read. Ooooh... I just remembered something! I should go check out my old favorite ebook sites...

I was hooked on Hugh the Hand. I look forward to more from Haplo, so that's cool to hear. Aaaand... I do like it now, so I hope that that trend continues.

How you liking Quicksilver Scott?

I've just finished Generation Kill, which is a great non-fiction about a reporter with Rolling Stone who traveled with 1st Recon in the Marines during the battle towards Baghdad in the current Iraq War (they lead the invasion into the country). It's a really awesome insight into how the Marines actually are (foul language and all XD), and how they actually feel in battle and at rest. For me, it was startling, as I never really think about the actual human beings who are fighting for us over there. This book shows you the real people, and puts faces on the numbers we see on the news. Plus... the battle scenes are INTENSE!

I should look that one up sometime...

Er wait, I haven't been at the library in months. :x

Anyway, a couple weeks ago I was at the library and saw a book by Carry Gooper called "Low Tide at High Noon." It looked interesting(and the only other westerns I've read were Louie L'amour), so I checked it out.

And...
Stupidest book ever. I hope they never make it into a movie because the film reel would probably self-destruct in protest.
That one scene at the end where they ride off into the sunset.. what kind of ending was that?! They should've started a class-action lawsuit against the townspeople. (And don't get me started on the absolutely spineless "Christians" portrayed in the book.)

I took it out and burned it in my backyard, then fed the ashes to our goats. If the library wants it back they'll get it in pellets. -_-

XD

I've never read Louie L'amour, though we have several novels in our home. Go figure.

I'm reading Cordelia Underwood and the Moosepath League.

Marvelous. Simply marvelous.

So today... I finally finished Quicksilver. Two months. It took me two months. I'm not generally that slow of a reader, but this thing was massive and some of the stuff contained inside was a little dry. Still, it was an amazing novel.

So I started in on the next one: The Confusion, by Neal Stephenson. It's amazingly good already.

(And, um, seriously, I generally tear through books... Quicksilver is the first novel in years that's taken me longer than a week or two to finish. I'm generally done with a book within a day or four, unless I've got stuff on my plate. And, oh, these last two months have been busy.)

I'm reading Fusion Fire, by Kathy Tyers.

Book 2 of 3 in the Firebird trilogy, and one of my favorite set of books ever. I'd have a leather bound copy of each if I could, and they'd proudly sit next to LOTR and The chronicals of Narnia.

What a joke, Drew. We don't believe a word you said. Geez, two months. Slowpoke. -_- Disgraceful!
