Spoiler:
Result of your roll: The glowing red eyes are often associated with darkvision which is a type of heat vision often used by subterranean creatures
Arch
If you are rolling survival for the sake of finding your way through the underground passage, you have guides and mounts to take you all the way to the end much faster than if you were to try to find your own way.

Everyone
You notice that your guides are waiting patiently for you all to finish your discourse and begin your journey under the mountain. Your "boars" are standing by, saddled and waiting for you.

((Oh, I was under the impression we were adventuring through the passage. Heh heh, to the mounts we go!))

Kratimos walks over and accepts the nearest (and one of the largest) boars. He thanks the guide holding on to it and steps unto the saddle. The boar grunts under his weight, but stands sturdy. It feels a little awkward at first since it's wider and lower than horse, but Kratimos quickly finds it comfortable. It still seems a little comical for him to sit on one, but it seems to be doing just fine. He takes it for a gentle trot to try it out.

"Is Crimson here? Are we ready to go?" Kratimos calls out and the boar turns in place, restless to get started.

Livia gets up from the ground and brushes herself off. She walks toward the boars choosing the smallest one to scramble up onto. They are far less comfortable than a horse, although that would be since she had never had anything else as a mount. She looked at Kratimos and grumbled to herself: I wonder why he has such a bad attitude. And, no he didn't answer my second questions despite his thinking so. She huffed and glanced behind her to find the whereabouts of Guy.

((CCGR-Is that roll to try to swipe the marbles? If so, you want to roll your sleight of hand and that roll will be weighed against the spot rolls made by those around you.))

Spoiler:
The children are playing and laughing, shooting marbles when you kneel down to "join in the fun." Your hand reaches for one marble but secretly picks up two before you shoot the marble into the others. While distracted by your impressive shot, you pocket the marble. A city guard walks by. At first, you blood runs still. Did he see? He passes by you without making a scene. Soon after, you notice that the guard is speaking with several other guards. The look over at you and begin to walk toward you together, all three of them.

"Miss, a word please." The guard who walked by you says.

This isn't the first time CrimsonBlade has been pinched by the law and chances are it won't be the last. Even though she can run and hide it's best to handle this diplomatically. She braces herself for the conversation that's about to ensue. She'll bluff and say that the marble was given to her because one of the kids took a liking to her and that it's her favorite color. She'll also act offended that she would be accused of stealing from helpless kids. Worst case she can probably pick the lock out of her cell if things go really bad.

The guards approach. The one speaking, a shorter fellow (shorter by gnomish standards) approaches you from the front, the other two take opposite positions on either side of you. "Blade is it? Crimson Blade? Is that what you are called?"

The gnome says, "Good thing we found you. Your friends are at the south gate getting ready to leave. Ingruhn asked that we find you and inform you of their departure. Your mount is waiting with them. Would you like an escort to their location?" The gnome smiles and the two alongside Crimson straighten up.

Sure an escort would be great, I'd hate to get lost and keep them waiting any longer

Everyone is mounting the the large cave boars preparing to head out when Crimson walks through the lowered gate. There are three gnomes with her chatting away about their city and sharing everything from history to a bit of local gossip.

Crimson/Everyone
When you exit the gate, it opens to a massive cavern that gets dark after 20 feet or so which makes it feel like it's endless. The gate you exited from is similar to the one you entered on the surface. There are torches all around the gate. Above the gate, you can see windows cut into the rock and secured with metal grates. Inside them are the gnomes with the slightly glowing eyes.

The leader of the scouts assigned as your escorts turns his boar to face you all. His animal seems a bit older and is adorned in solid armor, that of which seems quite sturdy and battle tested. He has many swords, axes, and daggers sheathed and attached to his "saddle." In addition, he has a repeating crossbow that looks like something found in the pages of story tales. It's odd shape is attached to a metal cylinder in the but of the crossbow. He's an older gnome but his head is shaved so it looks as if he were a few decades younger. He sports a soul patch and black bushy eyebrows. He wears a pair of goggles on his forehead.

"Gday everyone. I am Arthfael, cousin to Ingruhn. I am the chief scout of our fair city. He asked that I show you safely to the other side of these mountains. Before we leave, you must all understand something. The world below the world is quite different than what you are used to. The creatures you ride are not merely pigs, but are a part of the underdark itself. They know how to adapt and survive so trust them when you see them react because that may be the only warning you have. Follow me and do exactly as I ask of you, otherwise you'll just be another skeleton for adventurers, such as yourselves, to pillage later on." He smiles though there remains a bit of seriousness in his eyes. "Now, you'll notice a harness ((like a seat belt that connects completely around you)) is attached to your saddle. I would recommend that you put that on now, you see, we operate in a three dimensional world down here so travel may be a little different than what you are used to. Those harnesses are enchanted and will hold you fast to your mount. Without them.....well let's just not let that be an option shall we? So let's everyone take a moment and secure those for me please."

He waits a moment while everyone does so. You notice his is secure around his waist as are the other gnomes. ((Note: if you do not secure the harness, please make a note. Otherwise I will assume you did so.))

"Now you will notice a pair of these babies attached to your saddle horn," He points at the goggles, "We do not use torches here, it alerts the predators to our position and we don't want that. Your goggles will allow you to see in the pitch black. We will be collecting these from you when we arrive as we have only a limited number of them. In addition, we try to keep as quite as possible as we ride so please keep any unnecessary chatter to a minimum."

((When everyone is mounted, secure, and ready))

"Alrighty, let's hit the road."

Arthfael goads the lead boar. In response the other "boars" follow without your need to goad them.

You notice two things right away. The boars are incredibly fast and incredibly silent. They form a formation with Arthfael in the lead and the other scouts forming a V pattern along side him with your boars in the center. They are completely organized without any verbal communication. Either a form of telepathy is in play or the pack can read each others body language/scent/etc so well that they operate without the need to communicate.

Kratimos keeps silent and aware as the ride through the underdark. It's a new environment and he tries to keep his wits about him. Even so, something feels strangely comfortable.

((Fathom, is there any advantage to having low light vision? Is it too dark to use it in the tunnel? Any benefit with the goggles?))
