Liked what I've listened to.

Saviour Machine's Legend trilogy takes top for me, though that's more of a Gothic metal opera.

I plan to as soon as I get a PC that can play them. XD Srsly...I'm planning on buying a graphics card just for it.

Is it freakish?

Well...it's no Silent Hill.

But, depending on how you play, parts of it can get freaky. Mostly though, it's just intense.

For example, just early, I was underground, when I heard a girl crying. Behind a door. Common sense would say not to enter. So, after opening the door (*facepalm*) I suddenly find myself confronted with an enemy, who instantly grabs the weapon from my hand, immobilizes me, and batters me with psy waves until I got pushed back and he locked the door on me.

Then there are the creepy vampire creatures who are invisible, the subhuman creatures who jump 30 feet, Cereberus-esque monsters....you get the idea.

Overall, if you want intense, get the first one. No weapon or armor repair, and a major lack of heavy weapons. Otherwise, get Call of Pripyat. It was more fun.

Is it like an FPS, or more exploration?

Sounds fun either way. Just, you know.

It's...a lot of things. FPS, survival horror, RPG elements, a lot of exploration, and what I'd almost call dungeon segments in the first game.
