Bump that up to $130 and buy a Spyderco Perrin PPT like I just did <_<

It's solidly built, though the blade is designed as a slicer, so it's pretty thin. Not fragile, but thin.

Otherwise, the Spyderco Manix is lower than that, and I hear great things about it.

Look at the midlevel Benchmades. Not too familiar with them, but I do know knifeworks has a discount code listed with every one, brings the price down by about a third.

You might be able to afford an Emerson, likely an A-100, Mini Commander, or Mini CQC-7. Good luck finding one, I always have a hard time. Emerson's are also the one knife you could buy for that range that I'd be jealous of. I might add that the action is a bit rough at first, by all reports, but a disassembly and some WD40 or a real knife lube if you've got it will fix it right up.

I think some Zero Tolerance knives are around that. They're tanks. Extremely heavy as well.

Or, when you're man enough, you could buy an Izula <_<.

srsly love that knife. Even enough to buy my cousin a pink one. And I'm buying another. Maybe two.

Yeah. XD

It's not the best knife ever...old school and made with Japanese 440...still, I like the weight, length, and the fact the "pommel" actually looks like a small hammer head. Matte finish and everything.

You would recommend the Izula highly, then?

Highly. Best small knife available imo. Bought a knife twice as expensive and it felt like garbage next to the Izula :?

Nice. Not really, though. XD

Think the survival kit that comes with it is worth much, or just get the knife itself?

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll keep 'em in mind. Don't exactly have a lot of cash atm, so I have time to think. XD

What do you think of this?

I hear good things about the whole Ka Bar Becker lineup. I'd call it too expensive, but whatever you want.
