Pre ordering something ten days ahead of its release, then waiting ten days and being told the item is out of stock? O_-

Amazon has a reputation for outstanding customer service, and this sounds like one more example of it.Chozon1 wrote: Wed Jul 26, 2017 6:23 am
But Amazon not only refunded my money, they allowed me to order it from a private seller and then paid for the cost of shipping. Which I thought was incredibly nice of them.
I can't say that I've ever had this sensation. Either I will find the food repulsive and refuse to have another bite (my usual response to anything with cauliflower) or I will find it at least palatable. I'm curious to learn what might have evoked this in you, though.Chozon1 wrote: Wed Jul 26, 2017 6:23 am Have you ever bit into a food and found it triggered your spit reflex...but you didn't, and then it tasted great?
I think I've tried it... but to my recollection, you aren't supposed to eat the rind. It's been a while, though....Chozon1 wrote: Fri Jul 28, 2017 6:22 am Camembert cheese. It's got this vaguely bleachy/astringent flavor that melts into a soft, sharp cream, and the rind has the texture of...I don't know. Chewy ash? A waxy cotton ball? It's horrifying. Especially when you consider you just glommed a chunk of mold.
But the whole, after you chew it for a few seconds and punch your gag reflex in the face, is actually pretty tasty. At least on bread. For the record, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to taste like that, since every Brie-type cheese I have ever tasted has tasted very similar. XD
And hope that the corporate bigwigs decided not to cancel the next season because of the cliffhanger ending....Chozon1 wrote: Fri Jul 28, 2017 6:22 am The only proper way to defeat a cliffhanger ending is binge watching?
... perhaps you're offending the cheese, maybe? I don't know either.Chozon1 wrote: Wed Aug 02, 2017 6:57 am I googled it and was told 'not only can you eat the rind, it's considered rude to only eat the good-tasting parts of a cheese and avoid the yucky parts'.
...I don't know who I am offending by not eating mold wads, but hey.
I am not fond of these candies. Although the flavor tends to be pretty good, once they shrink to a certain point they have a tendency to jump down my throat and stick there. It's happened more than once, too. As a result, I tend to avoid them whenever I can.
It tastes like extra salty fish. And I don't like fish.
You seem to be asking a lot of food-related questions. Either you're really hungry, or you're trying to figure out the best way to poison me.
Since I have my own Kindle now, I've been reading quite a few of the books that my wife has picked up over the years - some of which were free! There are some surprisingly good ones in our digital library. One example would be the "Jim Morgan" trilogy by James Ramey (here is the link to Amazon). These novels detail the story of a young boy named Jim Morgan (obviously) who was raised to be a spoiled brat. However, after his father is murdered, he flees to the slums of London and stumbles into a series of adventures with a group of young scoundrels. The books do have the occasional typos and grammatical errors, which tells me that it wasn't professionally edited. But the story keeps up a good pace, and the adventure is exciting enough to allow me to overlook the errors.Chozon1 wrote: Tue Aug 08, 2017 7:35 am
Books which genuinely surprised you with how good they were?
*gasp* you sound like you don't like him here! (Just kidding! xD)
