Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Fans of Underworld should definitely go see it. It is a little confusing in some places, but it does a good job of fleshing out the story and puts an entirely new perspective on the Lycan/Vampire conflict. It retained the same style as the other films (including the quick-cutting, close-up fight camera), and was more story-based than the other films. The first half was a little slow to make room for the story and the second half, especially the last 20 minutes, were tremendously exciting.

Revolutionary Road

Let me start of with saying that... of all the movies I've seen this year, two were the most powerful. Doubt... and Revolutionary Road. They weren't necessarily the very best of the year, but they impacted me the hardest.

This was one of the saddest movies I've ever seen, if not for the sole reason that it echoes so many marriages of our lives. Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet provide the best performances I've seen from them, and... I'm very, very disappointed that they weren't nominated for their acting.

Sam Mendes directed this beautifully, capitalizing on the emotions and turmoil of the characters to make it even more potent.

Overall... this movie was brilliant. It was truly amazing. o_o I'll have to see it a couple more times when it comes out on DVD just to absorb all of it.

Eagle Eye.

A couple of poorly edited action scenes bloated the beginning and end, and in the middle was a predictable, boring plot, the twist for which I guess in less than 10 minutes.

The Mummy Returns.

Fairly good action, but...what on Earth! I thought the new one was predictable.

I honestly predicted every gunfight, explosion and plot twist.

The Spy who loved me

This was an interesting James Bond movie.

I really liked the fact that it had submarine's in it.

But Jaws.....

That guy was just unreal.

For realz.

It's OK, that was my favorite Bond movie out of the really old ones.

I just watched Repo! The Genetic Opera finally.

Loved it. It was gory, but it was amusing, very entertaining, and looked great for being so low budget. The plot was pretty confusing, but this is still my favorite musical.
