Looked at Rock Island Armory's 1911? Not a poly frame, but waaay cheaper.

They get good reports all round. They're no Nighthawk Customs, but the 1911 design is good for simplicity.

I'm getting mine next year in ND. They give them at 18, even to out of state people.
Why is it I get such weird when I mention I shoot in college? I mean, my First Aid teacher carries XD

It's 21, and...apparently state registration is required for handguns and tactical weapons?
That true for normal guns too?

Handguns it's true, not sure about normal rifles and shotguns though. I don't think it is... but I haven't bought one in a good long while, so I can't say for certain. :/
