I'm going to review Halo: Reach sometime next week if nobody else has done one or started one.

What kind of graphical issues? I don't believe I've encountered any splitscreen or no.Pheonix wrote:Reach is pretty legit, but at least on my friend's 360 there was a ton of graphical issues. Maybe from being split-screen, maybe from the game, I don't know.

Just lack of rendering. The skull on Emile's helmet was non-existent for example. The details on enemies, trees, rocks, etc. wouldn't be filled at distances of sometime less than 15 yards. Weird stuff.Wolfgang wrote:What kind of graphical issues? Like I said, I've not encountered any of those when playing splitscreen or not. I have heard that the draw distance could be a problem, but not that close.

Yeah, that draw distance is the kind of stuff you got in GTA: San Andreas or True Crime: Streets of LA (speeding down Ventura at 120 mph, when suddenly, a pole materializes out of nowhere and kills your car. Fun.).

Lol, sounds like fun if you don't mind going boom.
The problem I've seen with Reach is Firefight and Campaign over Live is incredibly laggy even when the multiplayer matchmaking connection is excellent.
Not exactly sure why, but I hope there's a fix.
Me and Wolf had the hardest time playing Campaign and then my already uber hard Firefight game because of it. Laggy.

I don't know if it's because I'm incredibly sick at the moment and I'm not completely there mentally but playing MP the past few days hasn't been fun. Bloom is bothering me. Probably just because I'm sick though, like I said.

Bloom seems to be the biggest problem people are having with Reach. I hardly noticed it when I played, though.Spartan_117 wrote:I don't know if it's because I'm incredibly sick at the moment and I'm not completely there mentally but playing MP the past few days hasn't been fun. I think it's just because I used to play Halo 3 customs with some really good guys and you had to shoot as fast as possible with the BR to do anything against them. So timing your shots with the DMR just feels weird to me. I'm sure I'll adjust eventually but it's making matchmaking somewhat frustrating for me.

Depends on distance really. If they're far off, pace your shots to get the full accuracy. If they're closer just make sure the bloom isn't larger than their body to get their shields down then finish off with a precise shot to the head. Does take some getting used to.

It's insanely good. Like... I didn't expect it to be this good. That kind of good.
