I'd love to take your word for that one, given that it's a film I was genuinely excited about. But with all the poor reviews it's getting, I fear I'll have to wait for the DVD before making my final judgement.

Well if you can catch it in one of the cheap theaters, it really looks great on a large screen, especially the Valkyries and explosions and such. Granted, there were stlll a couple of loose ends not tied up and the movie didn't quite reach the full potential, but still...of course, do what seems smartest to you.

War, Inc.

Didn't get the best reviews, but my intuition won over and I found myself having a lot of fun watching a political satire that got sillier and sillier. It's absurd, biting, and delightful.

Alien 3

On IceMedic's recommendation, I saw this movie.

I wasn't to disappointed with it.

Wasn't as good as Alien or Aliens, but still interesting.

My biggest problem with it was the fact that,

*SPOILERS*
Hicks and Newt die in the opening credits. :(
*/SPOILERS*

I also disliked the ending a bit, but it was O.K.

For a movie whose director got screwed over by Fox, I'd say this was pretty good.

(Note, I saw the Assembly cut, as that was what blockbuster had)

The Shining (1980s movie)

I actually loved it. It differed greatly from the book in some areas, yet if you were to look at it without comparing it to the book, it's really an amazing film. The directing... wow. Loved it. And I thought that the acting was some of the best I've ever seen in a movie.

I'd give it an A.

The Spiderwick Chronicles. Poor plot, slightly above average acting, awful pacing, and mediocre special effects give this one a D+

Keeping Mum. A very dark, very British comedy that is very funny. I could've done without the nudity, though. B-

This was David Fincher's first movie... so if you go and see some of his later stuff (The Game, Fight Club, Seven, Zodiac), you can easily trace his evolution as a film director. He's actually one of my absolute favorites, but it's pretty telling that he wanted nothing to do with the re-cut of the film.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

I thought I posted something about Max Payne on here. Guess didn't....anyhoo seen that this past weekend. I thought it was ok. C+

I thought it could have been a bit more grittier...didn't really give me the same feeling the game did.

That's what happens when you turn an "M" rated video game into a "PG-13" movie.

I last watched...Braveheart. My brother and I made fun of it the whole way through. And it was awesome.

Our jokes. Not the movie.

Wait... are you saying that Braveheart isn't awesome? For shame. ;)

I loved the "look" and music. I lol'd at the "life started on the backs of crystals". It made some good points, and is not as stupid as critics painted it to be. Blew that Al Gore one out of the water. :P

Meh. Some shady stuff went on behind that documentary. Like a lot of documentaries, but...all the same. Disappointed me when I found out.

Oh...and...I was insinuating that Braveheart might not be as awesome as everyone says it is. ;)

I've never seen it...but to me it always looked kind of corny.

Anyways, I'm going to a movie marathon tonight.
Expect full coverage later.

Alien Resurrection

I can sum this movie up in one word.

Lame.

I did not like it at all, The movie felt like it was trying to move far too fast.

I also have never really been grossed out by a movie until now.

I almost gagged at the final scene.

Of course, I was a bit sick already...

D-

But I want to know, should I give it another chance?
