The Happening

Yeah. Uhm. Shyamalan is the new Lucas. Not a fan. At all.

The movie... pretty much sucked... unless if suspense ex nihilo is your gig... oh... and talented actors that somehow act far below their talent.

I just don't get it... Shyamalan has raw talent... we've seen that. Why do his movies suck so much now?

I'm with you there, buddy. How on earth could Mark Wahlberg have sucked so hard, when in Four Brothers he blew everyone away?

Saw

Remarkable. Far more than a torture flick, its an intense mind trip with a well developed plot. Definitely one of my favorite horror flicks now.

A

Saw II

Loved the plot, loved the intensity, but wasn't as much of a fan of the fact that they toned down some of the psychological elements. However, there were some great parts, and another awesome plot twist (with my new favorite movie score). And Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) is an awesome villain.

That's just the thing, I really like Wahlberg and Deschanel in general... and both drove me up a wall here. Kinda like McGregor and crew in the Prequel Trilogy (hence, I call Shyamalan the new Lucas... capable of killing things that should be great).

Regarding Saw's soundtrack... I haven't seen the movies... but I've heard some of the composer's work... and really liked it.

Yeah, I downloaded the plot twist music (officially called "Hello Zepp"...I call it the "Oh Snap" music), and have been listening constantly.

Woah!

This is an epic sci-fi movie, no doubt about it.

I absolutely loved the dialog, for instance, "Hey Vasquez, have you ever been mistaken for a man?" the reply is "No, have you?"

Laugh out loud hilarity.

One can really see the impact that this movie had on sci-fi games like Doom.

A+
Just wait till you see the 3rd one  not as funny but much more intense the only thing that kinda gets to you is the whole movie is full of bad language (still a great movie)

The Descent
still good for the second time :o I give it a B

I loved the Descent :)

Saw III

Far and away the most violent so far of the Saw films. I had to look away during two scenes, which is very rare. However, it had the best storyline, and ultimately the best (and most emotional) underlying message. And, of course, a great plot twist.

The Descent was amazing. Great movie. It surpassed Wolf Creek, which is saying something.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

It's still one of my favorite films, but I think I saw it too recently to enjoy it fully. Didn't laugh all that much.

Still holds my grade of an A, though.

The Rebel: Kung-fu movie preoduced by Dragon Dynasty...haven't finished it though.

Be Kind Rewind: B
I give it this rating manly because its one of those films that don't really blow you away. Not really much to the film more of one of those feel good movies I guess. Jack Black and Mos Def played their parts well enough I believe and so did Danny Glover.

Eagle Eye. A frenetic pace and the acting chemistry between the two leads is about all that holds together a fairly weak plot. That being said, I enjoyed it for what it was. C+

I really enjoyed seeing this again. Downey Jr. puts a smile on my face with his constant joking manner. One of the better super hero films, to be sure.

Very intense and scarier than I expected. It was a LOT better the Cloverfield, which I actually did not like at all. There were lots of intense parts and jump scenes aplenty. Overall I thought it was a solid horror film, a manageable length (at 90 minutes it didn't quite overstay its welcome), and worth my money.

Quarantine...I agree with Heartless Gentlemen B+

I like the movie but the best zombie movie I have seen is 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later.
