Let's see...I've gotten three albums since my previous post.

I got:
"Picking Up The Pieces" w/Bonus Tracks by Seventh Day Slumber
"Decemberadio" by Decemberadio
and
"Chronicles (Greatest Hits, Vol 1)" by The Cross Movement

I like all of them, but SDS is probably my fav.

YES! Disciple's "Back Again" just came in the mail yesterday. AWESOMENESS!!!! It's a great CD, as I expected it to be.

My brother just got Anberlin's "Cities". It's good, too.

I also bought Switchfoot's "Oh Gravity!" CD to get signed.

btw, the show was INCREDIBLE.
Cool. I'll have to check out Copeland...what type of band would you compare them to?
You can't compare EVERYTHING to Coldplay...

They're like
Sleeping at last
or what I've heard of Lovedrug.
Maybe like the lighter side of Mae as well.

Ahhh! I know... But Coldplay was the first band that came to mind..

They definitely don't sound anything like Lovedrug though...
Possibly a little bit of Sleeping At Last, but less "epic" sounding and more layered.
As for Mae, I can't really see any similarities as Copeland is far more Indie than Mae. If anything it would be on the faster songs on their older CD's.

I guess.

My problem is I've only heard select songs from these bands...
and you're right they're nothing like lovedrug.

(you seem to know more about this then I do...)

Haha, Copeland is a hard band to pin down. Especially their newest CD. It's just... Really good. There you go. Good. They're good. Good, good, good.

But Lovedrug, Mae, and Sleeping At Last are all really good bands too... Sleeping At Last is a epic and slightly experimental (with strings and such) Indie band who's lead singer sounds like that guy from Jars of Clay (I forget his name!).

Lovedrug is interesting... I like their music, but the lead singer's voice is such an aquired taste it's hard to recommend them.

And of course Mae is just incredible. Nothing more has to be said... Their new cd is coming out this summer and I can't wait!

I also can't wait for The Fold's new CD coming out soon too! Whoo hoo!

And I DID pick up Oh! Gravity

and then my dad dissed my taste in music, so I dissed his...
...but this was funny... ...i got my permit a few weeks ago and he was letting my drive in a parking lot (Without the blindfold this time). And it went something like this:

*I turned on the cd player (Oh! Gravity was in of course)*
*my dad instantly turns it off*
Me: HEY!
Dad: You don't need those distractions as your learning to drive!
Me: Then what you doing here then?

"Anthem for the Underdog" by 12 Stones.

I like it a LOT. It's good stuff. I'm wondering to myself as to why I don't own their first two CDs. I've always loved this band...

Standout tracks: "Lie to Me", "World So Cold", "Anthem for the Underdog", and "Adrenaline"
