For the record, "Wire Glue" is a nifty glue-like substance composed of conductive material for connecting the wires in low-voltage electronics without having to splice or solder them. I've got a jar on my desk, but haven't had a need for it yet. So I guess that "nifty" comes with a caveat.

Still, awesome in concept.
Metal casting?

Surprisingly enough, I haven't even heard of it before now. I may have to give it a try. Looks like it is on Abandonia.
It's also on GOG

I recommend just picking it up on GOG. It's not expensive, and you get a conveniently packaged game, DRM-free, along with some extra benefits.
GOG knows how to treat their customers right.
Have you ever played Alpha Centauri?

I considered it back when I still collected and painted miniatures for tabletop gaming. But I had enough time and money invested in other hobbies, and never branched out into casting my own minis.

No, but considering how much I've enjoyed the Civilization games I've played, I have wanted to....

The things one misses for not having a Windows machine?

The occasional game or game design tool. But when you compare it with the number of bugs, glitches and viruses out there that Windows users have to deal with (as well as having to send money to Micro$oft for their overpriced OS), it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Overpriced?
Did you say you have a Mac?

Ha ha.
The Mac hardware is expensive. The operating system is comparatively cheap. About $20, last I checked. If Windows actually worked as well as the Mac OS, I'd be more inclined to buy it (well, I'd still have my trepidations about Micro$oft's business practices, but hey, I'm a cheapskate.

)
That's probably the main thing, though. I don't mind other manufacturers' hardware. Intel, AMD, Kingston... whatever. As long as it works, I'm fine with it. If it works
well, even better. I just wish I could run the Mac OS on it instead of being stuck with Windows.
I did give Ubuntu a try a while ago. I ran it from the DVD drive on my laptop. It seemed slow to boot up, but I attributed that to reading it off the DVD rather than the hard drive. However, I hit a snag when I tried installing one of the Linux games I received from a Humble Bundle a while ago. For some reason, after I downloaded it, I could not get it to install, no matter what I tried. I did some more research afterwards, and I think I know what I did wrong... but I haven't gone back to give it another spin yet.
I find Linux operating systems intriguing... but I'm not completely sold yet.
(If and when I do make my own computer, though, Ubuntu would likely be the main OS I would install, though. By then, hopefully, I'll know more about how computers work nowadays.

)

Oh, look! A movie made on Macs!
Actually, I'm a big fan of Pixar. For the most part, they tend to be surprisingly well-written (with the exception of some stinkers like Cars 2), and they tend to be the industry leader in computer animation for very good reason.

Bacon? Sometimes described as the candy of the meat world? The only product that can make a diehard vegetarian weep while they rethink their existence? That bacon?
Love it!

Interestingly enough, not so much. Yes, I know it's "Italian bacon," but the one time I had it, I thought it was undercooked. I was not impressed, and have tried to avoid it ever since.
