Honestly, the only thing I'd worry about it it eating one of my chords...not really sure if that'd be a problem with a reptile.

I've handled some tiger salamanders, not really any newts though.
If you want, I could, in theory, catch and send you some. First big rain in July usually brings out hundreds of them up in ND.

Their slime is like...glue. Really.
