Yep.
Here's the thing. Skillet...while not my favorite...you cannot help but appreciate their musical diversity. Every album they do focuses on a completely different style. Open Wounds was their take on 80s metal. Comatose is their attempt at alternative rock. And both albums are great.
So, to answer the question of the thread...

Hate to break it to you, Obigone, but Collide is the name of that album. "Open Wounds" wasn't even on the album until it was rereleased under the other label.Obigone wrote:Here's the thing. Also, I thought Comatose was amazing. Then I listened to a popular secular album from three years prior, and I felt very let down in regards to Skillet's originality. That album? Papa Roach's Getting Away with Murder. When I played the Papa Roach album for my brother, he actually thought it was Skillet. XD
Don't get me wrong, I love Skillet. They're good at what they do. I'm just disappointed that they, like so much of Christian music, seem to follow in the secular industry's footsteps... three years after those footsteps have been made.

Anyway. On topic. I'm listening to the music from Live Free or Die Hard as I just so happen to be watching the movie of the same name.

You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed in the same breath. You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death...

I haven't learned the song titles yet, but I'm listening to a track off of the new Panic! At the Disco album.
Really good stuff. Totally different from their last CD. And, so far as I know, it's much less inappropriate in terms of lyrics.

My favorite song by this band, and one of my favorite songs ever. Beautiful music, simple, compelling lyrics, the perfectly balanced mix of acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and piano...it's epic.
