When are the next rounds coming?

I think now. Sorry, I have not had much time to do this.

#1 Mario defeats #1 Bowser 3 to 1!
#2 Iron Man defeats #4 Sonic 2 to 1!

If you want to try to predict the outcome, the final match is:
#1 Mario vs #2 Iron Man

I am going for Iron Man for one big reason. Iron Man can fly. Mario has powerups that allow him to fly, but they also also take away his ability to fire projectiles. Simply jumping on or bumping Iron Man is not enough to really hurt him, due to his armor. Also, Mario is not crazy fast, and would be an easy target for Iron Man's lasers and missiles.

Going with Mario, he could probably make up some sort of power-up that combines but fire and flying (fire flower and red star respectivetelly). So if Mario is smart enough to do that, plus combine that with with his ability to dodge pretty well, it's most likely the end for Iron Man. Plus the fire would definitely melt him.

I thought that Mario could not combine Powerups. Is there a game where he can?

Game-wise no, but if you would count his experience at being a doctor (Doctor Mario series) then possibly, unless your really against it. Which if so I understand, I'm just trying to see any possible way Mario can win.

I am going to stick with Iron Man, but your reasoning definitely adds more contest to this battle.

Yeah there is, but it's not as popular as other series, so that might be why you never heard of it.

In the Super Smash Bros series they actually made Doctor Mario a separate character from Mario. It's kinda ackward since there is normal Mario and Doctor Mario...

Out of 64 competitors, even the likeness of Bowser, Mario, and Flash, #2 Iron Man rose to triumph!

Anyway, there are quite a few people who would like a second bracket to me created. I am all for it, but there is one problem. I am leaving on August 16th. Last time, the bracket took over 2 months. we would have to make it much shorter. I have some suggestions for doing that.

#1 Don't have forum posters try to predict the results. This took quite a while.
#2 Have the time for each poll reduced. 1-2 days should be good.
#3 More participation in assigning characters. Last time this step took a long time.

Or, someone else can use the Microsoft Excel bracket template. This would take someone who is active and devoted to this topic.

There were also some rounds where the terrain was the deciding factor. For simplicity, the terrain is an open bedrock plain.

Unless Mario or any other major Mario character is in this next bracket, then I am having no involvement in it. Sorry.

I wouldn't mind seeing another bracket. I thought of a few characters that could have been interesting additions to the last bracket, so it would be interesting to see how they fare this time around! These included Mega Man, Link, Zelda and Scooby Doo.

But only if there's enough interest in another bracket, that is.
