A smile breaks across Kratimos' face at the sound of the nickname she chose for him. The first real smile he had for years. Maybe he it was the cuteness of the name, or the acceptance she gave for his darker secrets, but it was genuine. He was going to keep this little girl safe.

Upon notice what the stranger left behind, Kratimos approached it and investigated.
"One second, Anna" Kratimos spoke softly, as he gently place on her on the ground so he could read the note, check what's in the sack, and put on the clothes.

"Now that my dear, is the question worth a million gold coins." He picks up his violin and draws the bow across the strings, it's beauty soon fills the air.

The girl hops off of your back and stands off to the side. The clothes seem to fit perfectly as though they were custom tailored to your body. The sack has 10 gold coins. The note is the strangest thing of all. A note written in what appears to be an ancient and runic language and at the bottom the picture of a smiling mask.

The man appears to be lost in his music for a long moment. He then replies to your question, "He's a hero and a great man, or perhaps he was. Rumors have stated that the darker magics may have grabbed his attention and he's disappeared from the light of the public. My hopes are that these things are not true." He then dives into a flurry of inspiring and moving melodies. You notice your foot is moving to the beat without realizing it.

Kratimos wasn't expecting a runic message, but, considering everything, he wasn't not expecting it either. Kratimos wasn't exactly sure what to make out of that whole encounter, but the feeling that someone was looking out for him was reassuring. He took a deep breath of the fresh air, air long denied to him, strapped the sack of gold, note and femur-club to himself.
"Alright, Anna." Kratimos picked up the little girl, "Up you go!"
He placed her on his shoulders and they made their way to the Underport.

((I don't know if Kratimos would recognize the type of script, like if it was Ancient Thesian script or not(from his backstory). I'm going to assume not unless you say otherwise.))

Knowledge Geography-From what you can tell from the instructions the man gave you he was pointing you in the right direction.

Regarding the note, you can not tell the origins of the language.

You continue down the road and the night slowly covers the grave yard. As soon as the darkness creeps in, you notice Anna Loretta tightens her grip a bit on your back. As you cover ground into the night, your keen ears pick up the sound of feint footfalls coming from different directions. Your nose also grabs the smell of something in the wind.

((Roll a survival check to have a better understanding))

I close my eyes, listening to the music, enjoying its comfort and distraction. I decide to sit here with the old man until the High Priest calls on me.

You awake to find yourself on the floor and your head leaning against a bookshelf. The candle in the room on the table is burning low, near the handle. You notice that you are covered by a robe and the old man is nowhere to be found. The door is open and you can see into the hall.

((What does the robe look like? Was the old mad wearing it? Can I tell what time of day it is)) I stand holding out the robe and looking at it. I look around the room, a little disoriented but aware of where I am. I walk into the corridor and back toward the throne where I found the High Priest earlier that day.

The robe looks to be of an acolyte of the priesthood. Simple, something the temple would be well stocked with. You wander the halls and it's clear that it must be a very late hour since most of the staff that was once present is nowhere to be found and there is a stillness within the temple that was not here earlier. You make your way through the corridors and to the throne room. There, you see the high priest lounging and his coin passing over his fingers. He doesn't seem to acknowledge you as you enter the room, lost deep in his thoughts.

He doesn't break his gaze from the coin. His expression becomes something serious, stern in a sense. "Nothing my dear...He's said nothing." With a quick motion he flicks the coin up and grabs it with the same hand. He leaps from the throne and lands without a sound, agility that betrays the age etched into his face. "It's not as though the Rogue is silent, it's as if...as if he's not there." He shakes his head, "Crazy right?" He laughs to himself. "I was a boy when I met my the first jester. You see, I am an orphan and all I knew was the street. Just a boy. You loose your hand you know, when you are caught stealing."

He holds up both hands and smile. "I had this friend named Reginald. In the world where I came from, you don't have people like him come into your life because trust, you see, is something precious among thieves. I remember one day Reginald and I were in the market place. We nabbed a loaf of bread, and ran for our lives because that was often what it meant if we were caught. I was the faster you see and made it around a bend. I didn't look back because it would slow me down. 'Good one Reggie' I said and turned to share the bread only to find my friend was missing."

You notice his eyes are glossy, "I peek around the corner to see my friend on the ground and four guards were beating him with clubs. I froze, so terrified." He smiles, tears welling, "I hated myself for my cowardice but in my old age I've learned that I was but a boy and as child there wasn't much I could do. I soon joined a local thieves guild and powered through the ranks. In a few short years I was the second in command. I've never felt that feeling I felt with my friend. That trust. That is until I met the jesters. In my first communion with the Rogue, I felt confident, secure, and at peace. I was back with Reggie, running through the streets. My communion with my god has always been what has held me fast to my purpose. Now...now I feel like I'm watching Reggie again back in that alley."

"Again....crazy right..."
