I don't drink. Part of it is for religious reasons, but the biggest factor - what kept me from drinking before I joined the LDS church - is that alcohol smells medicinal to me, and I don't see much appeal in drinking medicine for fun. I never really understood the point, or the appeal, behind alcoholic beverages, so I simply avoided them.

I can honestly say that the concept of swilling Dimetap has never even entered my mind.

That stuff used to taste good. G, E, W, D, good. Like grape candy.

The creation and application of various paper airplane designs in order to determine which ones are the most aerodynamic. It's a fun way to test physics and airflow.

Especially during history class.

I've heard of it, but have never played it. Is it any good?

Excellent, I'd say. Some scantily clad lady types and a smattering of mythologics, but excellent otherwise. Best TBS I know of.

RTS or TBS?

Turner Broadcasting System?

I kid. ;) I do prefer turn-based strategy over real time, just as I prefer the same approach to my role-playing games. I like having time to plan my next move, rather than being rushed into a hasty decision or, even worse, the game devolving into simply whoever can push the buttons faster.

I may have to download Wesnoth and see what it's like for myself....

Nice. I get...flustered, I 'spose, with turn-based strategies since I lose focus of my battle plan. I tend to enjoy flying by the seat of my pants.

And I would; it's free, and awesome. Two of my favorite things. :D

I wish I could tell you. Aside from Risk and the rare Axis and Allies game, I haven't had enough experience with tabletop wargames. The closest opportunity I've had was through owning a copy of one of the versions of Battletech, but I was never able to get anyone interested in playing it with me. :(

Me neither. I've been planning to get into it the past few years, but I've always been stopped short. I'm strenuously considering taking the leap into Warmachine this year though. I do, however, love me some Risk. It's my favorite board game. XD

People should play board games more?

Most definitely. There are a lot of really good board games out there for a variety of tastes and experiences. There's also the social aspect of the games, too - something you don't find so much in on-line gaming. There's just something different with sitting down and looking at your opponents - or comrades - face to face, rather than when you're separated by miles and a screen of glass.

For starters, you shouldn't be gaming in your underwear.

Unless, of course, you're with your wife or husband. Hmm, strip Monopoly? Ahem... moving on....

The Scotsman in me agrees whole-heartedly. We need more kilts!
Chozon1 wrote:Forging metal?
I'm not sure why anyone would forge metal. Why not use the real stuff? There's no reason to make fake metal when the real stuff works better....
