Donnie Darko

I have never been so confused or enthralled by a movie in my entire life. This is the kind of movie that makes you want to watch it over again, right after you've finished it, and in this case, that's a good thing.

Nacho Libre.

Almost watched I Am Legend, but I'm in no mood for a horror movie.

Still good.
My parents and sisters watched that tonight. I didn't because it seemed like something I wouldn't like. Isn't it kinda like a musical?

I watched Death Sentence with Kevin Bacon earlier.

Wow. Bacon's acting was, generally speaking, amazing. The plot did things I wanted it to, but didn't expect it to (breaks what I think to be the Hollywood norm). Not all of the acting was great, though. Some of the filmmaking/camera work decisions... were not so happy.

Lots of f-bombs and graphic violence definitely earn the R rating.

On the whole: Death Sentence - B

I'm changing my grade for Donnie Darko from A- to A, or even an A+. I'm still thinking about and half obsessing over it. It is such a thought-provoking movie, and a shame that it's not more well known. If you get the chance, watch this movie, you won't regret it. (Unless you're a Christian fundamentalist...)

It's a really good movie, Tru. Glad you enjoyed it. Crazy thing is... that movie made me appreciate music from the 1980s quite a bit more.

August Rush

Wow, simply wow! This has got to be one of the greatest if not the greatest movie I have ever seen! If you like Music, even if it's just barely, you will enjoy this movie! Only thing is, it seems to have little sense of closure at the end. Maybe it's just me.

A+

The Jane Austen Book Club

I think Jane herself would've been proud.

Also shows that men can read Austen and still be men.

The Godfather Part I

I watched this a while back... didn't really "get" it. Having played the game a bit since then, I wanted to give it another go (and more attention). I was pleasantly surprised. "Love Theme" is an amazing song, the acting is great, and the story works really well.

Without hesitations: A-

Shakiest Gun in The West (Or something like that)

Uhhh.... I have no idea what to think about this movie except it was pure craziness.

Ohno... is that a really old Don Knotts movie?

Hitman

This... I had low expectations of. I wasn't really surprised. Somehow, the plot, though not very inspired, managed to interest me. The acting ranged from terrible to good. The action was enjoyable, though, and that's the reason I saw it. *spoiler* If Agent 47 stayed cold throughout the movie (better yet, if he kept his mouth shut), the movie would have been much better.

On the whole... eh... C

Pan's Labyrinth

What an absolutely amazing movie. It's so...abstract, yet it's so amazingly beautiful and entertaining all at the same time. It's also a "great" tear jerker(I cried a bit at the end  )

It came from beneath the Sea.

It's a classic, but I'm real careful who I watch it with. A lot of punks would just say "Octopus looks fake" instead of appreciating how the movie was made. Radioactive Octopi aside, it was a very well made movie. It timing was good as well. Every time the monster would appear the music would BLARE as loud as imaginable, and it even made me jump. Still, the cheesy romance drops it down to an "A" rather than an A+. But look at the bright side:

Absolutely no parent/child issues!

Watched the first hour of Transformers in science class. We'll watch the second half come Monday.
